I see few cost down efforts from super expensive IF MODE. These are 1) change from pressed wheel to ordinary spoke wheel, 2) change from L shaped rear frame to ordinary triangular frame, and 3) change from fold down handle bar to simpler pull out bar. I was really impressed by its design talent. This will be a hit model if Pacific Cycles priced it under $1000! You need a dealer here in bike friendly Silicon Valley, PC!

I’d like to buy one, unfortunately no bike shop would carry this wonderful product due to its high price tag for a city commute bike, I’ve been shopping around Taipei without any luck, given the bike is made in Taiwan locally

PacificCycles does make some interesting looking bikes but unlike brompton there are very little real reviews on the web. Perhaps their marketing division should send their bikes to some bicycle magazine reviewers so people would know what they are buying.

The only problem is that it is not that small when folded. I just wish they can improve on the folding of the flame, if not, I guess, it will remain quite huge in folded mode.

From what I know, they simply don't have a marketing division, they only make very good bikes.

I think it will be impossible to sell this bike under 1700$. From what I see its production cost will be high due to the complex frame design made of cnc machined custom parts and extreme precision welding work, I think also that a lot of work is manual so the cost is high. Yeah, under 1000$ would be a dream, I think they would be able to sell thousands in the world, but I don't think this will happen, it will remain an elite product like the bigger IF Mode.

Great bike, but... It's very hard to fold and unfold it, for a woman almost impossible to do it like in this video. The magnets stick so hard together that you can't separate wheels one from another without using your both hands. Also, after 6 months wheels are not centered anymore (when folded) and one wheel is breaking when you push the bike in front of you (without touching anything). Can't figure out, where's the problem.
