Well if you're having difficulty finding any fault with this unit, here is one: they need to make a "travel version" - one that has the same height specs, but collapses down further than 27 inches - then it would be perfect!

Really like mine, only two slight niggles. The top quick release is easily caught, releasing the head. there have been a couple of scary moments. Secondly it would be great if the bag was a little larger so I can leave the head attached in the bag

Is it easy to pan horizontally with only the standard monopod? I really don't like carrying a fluid head around.

I sometimes use a small rig ball head - much smaller and very flexible!
