Out of this world tennis... it's probably the right way to describe her exceptional level and phenomenal skill. Even someone new to tennis can recognize this after a few minutes of watching this video... The selection could have been much better, especially for the final match, with some down the line backhand and also topspin forehand winners. Love her as a player and as a person too... can't wait to see her playing again... Jazda grande Iga!

Ale to co oglądam w wykonaniu p.Świątek pobudza moje zmysły do tenisa ; ta szybkość , spryt i nieodgadywalność kierunku odbioru/ ataku na korcie powoduje że pomału zaczynam się interesować tą dyscypliną. Nawet bardziej niż pomału ... Wprawdzie mój wiek już nie pozwala na uprawianie w tą grę ale relacja TV , jak najbardziej na oglądanie Pani i jej kibicowanie ! Brawo dziewczyno i gratulacje dla Rodziców a zwłaszcza dla taty za osiągnięcia i radość jaką Nam dawał ; a do tego dochodzi mądrość rodzica !

What I like about her is the high net clearance with topspin and high margin for errors cross court. She plays high percentage tennis and this allows her to hit very few errors. Her style of play is much more future proof than Ostapenko's style of play

Very young players are taught by the coaches to make noise when hitting the ball, this supposedly makes the hitting stronger. Iga was taught to show her fist :)

Iga plays tennis similar to the era of Steffi Graf, she has every shot, the volley, smash, lob, backhand slice, lethal forehand and backhand with incredible top spin. I've watched a lot of the present day women players and they are not comfortable playing a volley or a smash (overhead), these shots take away time from your opponent but can be difficult to execute but Iga will use them without hesitation when she has to. I was watching Arantxa Sanchez Vicario playing Monica Seles in a Roland Garros final and I was amazed with her skill and recovery defense, some of the present day players should hire her as a coach, she has a lot of knowledge to pass on, excellent player.

She hits a lot more spin and power than players did in the Graf era though. And with a double-handed backhand too, of course.

They had two handed backhands back then too and they had power too. The rackets now are more advanced and also the training is more advanced. Iga is a fan of Rafa Nadal and she watched a lot of his matches, she plays her forehand and backhand with a lot of spin like Rafa does. The players of Graf's era would excel in this era too if they had all the tools the modern players have. Iga seems to work on all the shots and uses them in a match, I watched her opponent Kenin during the match with her and she passed up several opportunities to volley near the net that could have ended the point.

She really was just phenomenal. There is something very Justine Henin-like about her game, which is very promising! It's going to be tough work for her though. Her game is based around technique and athleticism, which means that she's going to have to put in an extraordinary amount of time and effort into keeping up this level. Many players lose the motivation to do that week in week out over a period of years - we'll see what happens here...

Well lots of women *do* have variation but they tend to be the ones which lack the power to be this aggressive. Which is why it's special when you get somebody come along with both (Andreescu is another one).

Coś mi się widzi, że Iga po meczu 1/8 finału Roland Garros 2020 stała się koszmarem Simony Halep. Rewanż za porażkę w poprzedniej edycji tego turnieju okrutny. Mam wrażenie, że Iga chciała jak najbardziej upokorzyć rywalkę i jej się to udało. Nie chciałbym być wrogiem Igi - przechlapane!

Ale słyszałem w jakimś wywiadzie jak Iga mówiła, że nie zna poziomu zawodniczek z pierwszej setki, bo nie miała okazji grać z nimi. Weszła do setki, zaczęła jeździć na turnieje top 100 i pewnie stwierdziła, że legendy o poziomie są przesadzone. Druh Boruch to wspaniały nick, nie wiem czy świadomie go wybrałeś. "Nasz druh Boruch, ale nie ma tutaj naszego druha bo rucha. " To było w jakimś kabarecie, bodaj czy nie z udziałem Krzysztofa Majchrzaka.

@@prosperobianchi8619 Świadomie :) W grze Giorgi najciekawsze jest oglądanie reakcji jej ojca :) Iga ma zawsze jeden plan gry; pełna agresja, która do niedawna była często bezmyślną, teraz gra juz rozważnie. Wiele dobrych tenisistek ma różnorakie plany gry w zależności od przeciwniczki, Iga tego nie potrzebuje bo ma mocny, kompletny arsenal i doskonała fizyke.
