Lee Kang-in definitely has a great potential. Along with Ferran Torres of Man City, he was called a 'wonder kid' in Valencia youth. But the Valencia executives did not manage their talents well. They sold Torres to Man City for pennies (20 mil pounds) and let Lee go for free. Lee was the second youngest player to win the Golden ball award in FIFA U20 Worldcup at age 18. Messi was the youngest player to win the same award also at age of 18. Lee has excellent dribbling and passing skills. He can escape from opposition pressure with fancy dribble and dispatch an inch perfect forward pass into the space or pretty much anywhere in the field. At times, he can dribble around defenders like Ndombele, but he does not hold the ball too long like Tanguy. He is also a deadball specialist. He mainly plays as a second striker or attacking midfielder. His weakness is in physical strength and pace, although he has improved his strength and pace significantly compared to couple years ago. I still think his skill sets are better suited for La Liga style matches. EPL could be too physical and too pacey for him for now. But in a few years, I would not be surprised if I see him playing for a top club like Man City. His level of talent is that high.

Your comment really completes the whole scout report :) I love that point about Valencia's mismanagement of their youth and talent. I completely agree and I wish I had the time to fit that in. I would like him to eventually make a move to the Premier League. I think we've seen a lot of players where despite their stature/strength being a weakness in the Premier League, they can actually make up for that weakness with world-class technical ability. @@jackkinekefootball Lee should stay in Mallorca for a few more years and get as much game time as possible. After that, he could move to a team that can utilize number 10 like Real Sociedad, Man City or Real Madrid. I think Lee has the talent to become as good as David Silva in his prime. Of course, Lee will need world class coaching, individual effort and luck to reach the level of David Silva. But the talent is there. kzbin.info/www/bejne/naDckniDlsmea5I. It was an absolute world class goal and came out of nowhere. I heard one of the commentators call it a simple finish, and I had no words for that sort of disrespect. How on earth was that goal simple? World-Class goal out of nothing :)

He can play a variety of positions. Second striker, winger, #10, just an all around baller. I would say we would have to wait at least a year or two before we can make a bid since he just moved to Mallorca, but if we were clever we would give Mallorca an offer they can't refuse. They got him in on a free - so it's only going to be huge profit for them. Maybe if Mallorca get relegated, that could make it easier... :)

I watch a lot of Eredivisie and one player that really caught my eye recently is Tyrell Malacia at Feyenoord, a really explosive, fast and powerful left wingback. They've slowly eased him into the side over the last few years and he's rapidly improving. A real handful. Then again, hard to make a highlight reel for most fullbacks unless your name is Roberto Carlos.

I think Valencia is just a horribly run club which is why they released him. They have fantastic talent but they got rid of all of it. Bryan Gil is actually the exact same age as Lee Kang-In and is only older by 8 days. Puts a lot into perspective. With Gil playing at Eibar last leason, maybe this move to Mallorca for Lee Kang-In will be a great similar stepping stone for his career!
