I am Hausa and can hardly understand any phrase from the musical message however the gentle and equalising rhythm that rammed with the instruments melody made me to reflect this legendary artisan with nostalgia to my NYSC period in Ibadan. Hausa's has this musical instrument which they call Goge or Kukuma.

Eshin je iya tan, o gbo ilu o tun j'aporo. Won fi keshe si l'enu..iponri eshin j'iya tan o gbo'lu o n japoro... meaning, after whipping horse and you beat drum near it, on hearing the beat, the horse will start dancing despite the keshe in it's mouth. Hope this helps.
