It’s possible Igbo came from Ikwerre, it’s also good to know that ikwerre did not come from Benin rather we had returnees from Benin who met an already established Ikwerre empire.

Ikwerre is a clan in Igbo. Igbo is a combination of many clans, in Imo State alone there’s over 6 7 or 8 clans speaking different dialects. The general Igbo you all hear about was formulated by scholars to be able to teach all Igbo but we all speak different dialects. Ikwerre, Igbere, Nkwerre, Ngwa, Abakiliki, Obowo Owerri are all different clans. You can’t be answering Igbo names which has been passed down from your ancestors, have your villages all named in Igbo and you ignorantly claim to be from Bini. Why don’t you park speak Bini language or answer Bini names? How can y’all be this Ignorant.

ikwerre and other groups agbors , ukwuanis etc are multi lineage with even non igbo groups mostly Benin and other Ancient clans being the first arrivals. The issue with the igbo man is always his supremacist ego in the final analysis ' I have my presence here therefore i must be the super group and others must bow' Yorubas understand that the Itsekiri has both his genealogy and other genes from ancient clans and not his fathers or ancestors heritage or Land in the first place so does the Urhobo man with his Itsoko sister heritage and the Efik with the Ibibio.

That is exactly what Ezinihitte people of Mbaise, who are close relatives of Ngwa people of Abia , call it too. We must bear in mind that in Igbo history, particularly Igbos in the most eastern part of Igbo land, there was this migratory trend towards the south in the last five or six centuries. It was recognised that south of Igboland then was largely empty. This is separate from the Aro dispersal to different lands in their numerous adventures. Is it possible that Ikwere people or part thereof were among the early Igbo clans that migrated southward? Since we depend mostly on oral tradition and newly politically motivated stories, the rational thing to do is to institute careful studies about our shared history. I visited Bony in Rivers State in 2019. I was surprised by the demographics of the in terms of ethnic composition. I understand it was as a 7:20 result of interactions due to trade in slaves and other commodities. The sum total, we are all related, either brothers or distant cousins. Let us be truthful about it.

(2) the language, eg, (Biaa, Mmiri, Chukwu/Chi, Oha/Ogbako, Ahia/Afia, etc. (3) Festivals, eg, Iri ji/Iwa ji, Ekere mgba, Elele Ogwu, Iti mmonwu, Mgbonwanu, etc. (4) Traditions, eg, Nze n'ozo, Ezes, Igwes, Obis, Isu Orji, Ilu nwanyi, Iwa akwa/age grade, etc. (5) Local gods, eg, Amadioha, Ajoku, Ogwugwu, etc. (6) Dressing, eg, 2pcs of cloths for mother's, etc. (7) same local foods, etc. (8) Punishment/Humiliation, Oriko, associated with, sleeping with sister, mother, blood relation, etc, Igba Obia, associated with stealing, of any kind. With all these in common, continue to tell us that you are from Tanganyika, Congo or futa jalon. 😂😂😂

Ikweres are not from Igbo. Ikweres are Igbos. The question of "FROM" does not arise, wherever Igbos came from is where Ikweres came from. Where they are is their ancestral home land, if there was a history of migration, then other people migrated to ikewere and met the Igbos there
