First thank you, but unfortunately some constructive criticism. Background music to high, also if this video is aimed at learning Igbo while sleeping, can you tell me why adverts are coming in while video is playing? How am I meant to skip a advert in my sleep? By waking up because I wonder what the unsettled nose is in my ear, to realise that the advert has been playing for last 15 mins and I probably memorised the advert while sleeping rather that the Igbo. 🤷🏽♂️
@IgboMadeEasy2 жыл бұрын
Hi Love, first thank you for being subtle. I could sense you trying so hard to be very nice and I appreciate that🥂😂😂. The background music is on me, the ads are on KZbin. Because the new KZbin policy allows KZbin to put ads on your video whether or not you turn them on. I might as well just make revenue 'cos they'll be there regardless. So maybe learn while awake for now💔 I have another version, same video with minimal music. And the newer ones have no music. If you reply just as fast, this could be a chat🍻👍👍

And you know you are correct. We could have said stuff like "akara ekwenti" for "phone number" and all that. And I think with a little imagination you could have figured anybody could have found the translation of those words from google if they wanted to. That's by the way. But the idea, you see, is like I've explained before, I am not teaching the pretentious classroom Igbo. Our primary goal is to get in the flow and be able to communicate like an average Igbo person. This video is designed to be at an entry level sort of. And the English/Igbo combinations were done on purpose to encourage the beginner. Think of it as my way of saying "...you see? You can do this!" Besides, this is how the average Igbo speaking person talks, I am one and I live among hundreds of thousands of them. You will sound like you're trying too hard if you have to spell everything out, worse with words like 'osikapa' for rice, and 'mahadum' for university. I am sure you don't talk like that yourself. See? The idea is this, my Channel is unique for teaching Igbo language as we speak it today in the 21st Century. My audience are those who want to basically communicate with an average Igbo speaking person, and those original Igbo words like "ogu" for "twenty" are not in everyday use. So I don't see the use of learning the junk before the useful stuff. The goal is to communicate first, then you can go deeper from there. And I have provisions for going deeper. I hope this was helpful? Not just for you, but for everyone who may need the explanations

@IgboMadeEasy4 жыл бұрын
mh-mh is just as well used as mba. Think of mh-mh as an informal way of saying no. Makes sense now right? That would be why you got pestered for it. Africa is big on 'respect'. So if they should suspect disrespect in your tone or word, then they would begin to pester you for almost every informal word or expression you make. I hope this was helpful?

@IgboMadeEasy4 жыл бұрын
Both are correct, however one is more popular than the other. 'Wu' is a variation of 'bu' but second in popularity to 'bu'. Whichever one you speak will be perfectly understood by a native speaker Jisi ike nwannem. Ina agbali...

What is your phone number is wrong. Number is akara in Igbo. It means kee akara ekwe nti gi and not kee fun number gi. Again are your busy is not idi busy. Busy is not Igbo. It means onwere ihe ina eme.
@IgboMadeEasy4 жыл бұрын
Nice. At least I will first say thank you...for interacting with my content. "Enwere ihe Ị na eme" is "is there something you are doing?"...implied but inaccurate. Are you busy or are you free is expressed in Igbo as "I nwere efè" Now I won't go into details of why these were substituted. Happy learning
@amaramaduabuchi98404 жыл бұрын
@@IgboMadeEasy Exactly. Inwere efe is the right word for it.

You are using a lot of English in the Igbo translation. That’s not good. Thanks though
