Yupp bicuspid valve is also acceptable. Atrioventricular valve is the same as bicuspid. Just it's more specific.

For question 4 (b) part two, can we answer somewhere between day 24-28? edit: also for 4 (c), isn't it supposed to be day 17?

For question 4b) ii) nope you cannot as the endometrium lining is still thickening at that phase. The start of menstruation begins at day 1 onwards in the menstrual cycle. For question 4c) It must be day 24 as it reaches the peak amount of hormones which does the most changes

it is not tricuspid but aortic valve, please note Extra information: - two semi lunar valves: aortic(left ventricle to aorta) and pulmonary(right ventricle to pulmonary artery) - two atrioventricular valves: bicuspid (left atrium to left ventricle) and tricuspid (right atrium to right ventricle)

Zhan, im sorry for the tons of doubts but could you please tell me if like my answers are similar to the ms and contain some keywords but in alternative wording. I think that u also came across this doubt during ur prep if its correct or not. Sometimes, students get same answers but in diff wording but keywords are present. Hiii! So you are right partially! Before it's optimal pH, the enzyme is deactivated, but after it's optimal pH, meaning too too high pH.. the enzyme will denature. As the acidity can change the structure of the active site

Before the optimun pH, if u decrease it, the enzyme is deactivated( No Enzyme substrate complexes are formed ) but above the Opt. pH causes the enzyme to denature and even if u bring the pH down, the enzyme wont work. Basically the bonds break and soooo..... the active site is no longer complementary to the substrate

Hey Saniya! Yes you definitely can write Aortic Semi Lunar valve. It's the same. For question 3b, yes that point can be acceptable. For question 5a i), yep this works too. However for question 2b, avoid too scientific term as this is an IGCSE biology exam, don't overcomplicated too much with the medical terminology

Paper 5 biology should be almost similar to paper 6. Just make sure you master those sections in that paper by practicing questions and reading different examples of experiments
