please recheck question 33 it should be A and not C, using your solution, check with fleming's left hand rule, the electron is forced into the page and not down (if field is upwards as you show)

Hi, For Q23, why can't the answer be B? If they are oppositely charged, the rods would attract each other and also cause the balance reading to increase, right?

no as the rod above will be pulling the rod on balance hence decreasing the reading if they both have forces of attraction between them

The formula for cross sectional area is pie*r*square If initially the diameter was 1, then the area is 1pie If the diameter is 2, then the area is 4pie So it increase by 4, which will then reduce the resistance by 4 times

One question pls before my exam on 5th, In question 27 the area always reduces the resistance by its square? Example if the area is 3mm, resistance will decrease by 9 times?
