I worked on a ( very low budget) film in Cayman Islands last year that somehow got Iggy to star in it. I was asked to go to his house to photograph him. We were greeted by Iggy, no minders or managers. Sensing our limited resources…he took us to his closet to pilfer his Gucci campaign wardrobe. On set he was so thrilled to meet everyone and made them feel like they were the special person making the movie and that he was the guest. Talking to people on the Island you quickly realize that everyone adores him! Such a lovely and gracious man.

An exhausted 75 yr old Iggy has every right to crowd-walk instead of stage diving. He's not only a legend but after seeing him a dozen times I can say that he's hands-down the hardest working man in Rock N Roll who ever lived. I hope he outlives Keith Richards by a hundred years.

I grew up in Detroit in the 60's and remember seeing the Stooges In 69 I think. Maybe 70.. Was amazed at the energy he put out then at age 20 or so. And now he still has it. Watching this makes me feel both younger and older. A fantastic and unbelievable man and I hope he keeps going forever.

Audience was some sort of comfortable living mid-agers (me too) who also loved the new jazzy stuff. Saw Iggy 3 times in 30 years. Think he reflects the vibes of the audience working his ass out live. Munich, the city Iggy & Ziggy made music together in 1977. 45 years later, still as personable as back then. U can feel, c the luv. HE's a classic. He opened 4 the Pretenders n '85 world tour. Chrissie kissed the stage before their performance n his honor. Respect, u earned it. PEACE

First saw Iggy in 1989- instinct tour, Australia, festival Hall. Managed to catch him with the re-formed stooges twice,then a third time with James Williamson in the re-re-formed stooges,,now,8 OR 9 Times,Ive gone (as in every concert..) to the stagefront in every single one. But when he performed on his birthday,in Melbourne Australia on 21.4.19, I absolutely loved it, but with a real, endemic fear,that didn't match the physical energy that he used to have. But ,f##k it,was was turning 70 on the day. Even our heroes get old....(and eventually,are physically gone... Bowie, Freddie Mercury, Rob Tyner, Elvis (1977was a bad year) ,saw Bowie once..) But to me, Iggy Pop is God.

My husband Stephen became friends with him. The DJ of KROC in Pasadena announced that someone please come and pick up Iggy cause he got out of control from being so drunk. And of course Stephen took off work and went and picked Iggy up and brought him to my husband’s place and played LP’s all day and kept drinking. They became great friends. Freaking Coooool!
