This is one of the most respectful and intellectual interviewers that I've seen. It seems he is really curious about the artist's cultural agency.

I love the fact that Iggy Pop is so loved in Denmark. I´m Danish myself and Iggy Pop has played many concerts in Denmark over the years. From my perspective, Iggy Pop is one of the coolest artists in the music industry. He is still rebellious at 71, as he was when he was younger. :)

Modern music so much needs a real rock hero, who lives and breathes life. No bullshit, no fame, no music, just living it and making good music. So glad Iggy is still around.

you gotta give it to him. this man out lived Andy warhol, the 60's,even kurt cobain and iggy was an even bigger smackhead for many years!!! He's like a punk version of Kieth Richards as of this point. Tak for a uploade det her. Jeg så det selv dengang i '86 (og optog det såmænd på betamax!). Fra Beatbox! Det var dengang dansk tv kunne lave lange interviews med kunstnere. I dag varer den slags sjældent mere end 90 sekunder.

In the Seventies and Eighties everybody used drugs. Lot of people still do. Amy Winehouse. Now... Great interview. The Stooges were an original organic proto punk band with nothing to lose and they had such intensity! I saw Iggy live in maybe 82? front, center, leaning on the stage looking him in the eye. Force of nature.

i think his comment about 'california dreamin' +his characterisation of the song are odd. although i know he was just looking for an appropriate lyrical example, that song is very melancholy, both lyrically+ musically. i don't know enough to say whether the heroin reference is accurate but if it is it makes perfect sense.

He's dead right about Elvis! (Minute 6.00) He was ruined by his manager's choices. He never questioned them, doing what he was told. He was too much of a good mummy's boy. But those were the 50s, I guess. Also, he was a conservative guy (politically wise), so he would respect authority and the established system.
