In 2011 I went to Anime Boston as the Red Ranger. The suit was from Aniki Cosplay. I got a ton of attention. Grown men in suits walking by the place having no clue what I was dressed as wanted photos with me. A professional photographer who charges high prices took my photos for free because he wanted them, not the other way around. I wore the costume again at three cons in 2013. That helmet was amazing. I sold it to some guy years later and threw the suit away because it got gross. I'm pretty sure my mom was sobbing internally when I asked her to take a photo of her then-26-year-old son dressed as a superhero from a kids' show.

This is an accurate review. Those Zord sections are really frustrating, and the spike in difficulty is nuts. That, and there's so much going on on-screen that it ruins the gameplay. Otherwise, it's a great game, though I do wish the controls were more responsive a la Shredder's Revenge.

I need to disagree with something said very early in the video. The reviewer said that console beat 'em ups were limited by their at home hardware. Streets of Rage 2 and 3 are some of the best beat 'em ups till this day, and it was on Sega Genesis. It didn't have as good of graphics as Final Fight, but the gameplay was the best at the time. You could argue there are better beat em ups since, but I'd argue that Streets of Rage 2 and 3 are near the pinnacle to this day.

We sorta have that in Chroma Squad. It's more of a tactical RPG and it focuses more on the TV show aspect (although with some interesting sci-fi twists)... But it is a Power Rangers RPG in everything but name (in fact, Saban made them officially acknowledge it in-game).

I wish Digital Eclipse added the option to fight Unmorphed & build up power to Morph in the game. Mega Battle was very underrated but still great plus had DLC, this one lacks unmorph but I love that they added missions as Zords & the use of the bikes which the show lacked except in Sentai

Rita's Rewind is an excellent game but it's on the same level of TMNT Shredder's Revenge to me: it lacks replay value even with the unlockables. This is significantly worse compared to Shredder's Revenger because the Rangers pretty much play the same aside from their special abilities. It's a bit underwhelming. I really wish more beat 'em up devs followed Dotemu / Lizardcube's Streets of Rage 4, which was heavily inspired by fighting game mechanics; the game has a lot of crazy combos you can pull, which is especially more fun in co-op. I have over 400 hours of SoR4 because of how much replay value you get with the combos and character synergy.

Yeah based on the footage I was seeing. The Megazord battle certainly didn't look very fun to play. Maybe a way they could have worked around that is if they had used the Shogun zords from Season 3, with Kimberly piloting the Ninja Megazord. Thus retaining the beat-em-up gameplay the game was sold on. Maybe that's something the devs can do if they decide to include DLC for this game.

They made the rangers just simple palette swaps. They all have the exact same moveset with the exact same screen nuke. What the hell man, why would I want to unlock the green ranger if all the characters are the same? Digital Eclipse doesn't like TMNT shredder's Revenge? Double Dragon Gaiden? Streets of Rage IV??? This is Megaman 9 or 10 all over again, making things way too simple thinking that's gonna be enough to keep my attention.
