All "fight scene" are references to iconic play that happened at previous world championships. Sadly i can't remeber all of them. The players you called "team assassine" are actually call TPA which stands for Taipei Assassins. They won the season 2 world championship final versus a team called Azubu Frost resembeld by the frost giants with the F on their chest. If I remeber correctly Azubu was the favorites, Which is why they are presented as giants. Azubu was a Korean super team with Superstars that are still remebered until today. A move in league is named after the support of Azubu frost. The Madlife. "Rapidstar" and "Cloudtemplar" have moved on from playing to casting and coaching. And 6 years after the Season 2 World Final a player named "TheShy" who is the actual Son of the Azubu Frost top laner "Shy" actually won a world championship titel. TPA won one of the games by landing a game changing ultimate which was shown in the "pullback scene". The Scene where a bunch of people(The "mous" which is actually a hamster called Kennen. It is the lightning hamster you know from awakened. Some people nicknamed him pikatchu. Also yes Ahri, the fox girl from K/DA is also there) fight the giant monster and a guy salutes is referring to a player named "TheOddOne". His nickname was "The General" which is why he salutes before jumping into the pit. The monster they are fighting is called Baron Nashor which is a neutral Monster on Summoners Rift. It is hard to kill but grants the Team whos player deals the killing blow a huge buff and bonuses. In this sceanrio Ahri and kennen where on the enemy team and "TheOddOne" jumped last second into the the baron pit to steal way the objective granting his team the buff that would win them the game but cost him his life. Really epic scene. The "dark syther" is called Kha Zix. He is a assassine type champion. In the scene he facing up against a Jordel in a mecha trying to destroy the Nexus and win the game. It was a super close and epic 1v1 that was Game changing at that point. The final scene was from the 2015 World Final. The Guy sitting on the throne is the greatest player of all times Faker and he is piloting his signiture Champion Ryze, A human rune mage. In the scene we see him and his team SKT T1, which stands for South Korean Telecome, run over in a really great coordinated fight the enemy team the KO Tigers. SKT ended up winning the Final in 2015 to become the first ever 2 time worlds champion. they also eneded up winning the world championship in 2016 becomming the first and only 3 time world champion and the first and only back to back world champion. All videos since went into a totally different direction. Focusing more on a narrative. Ignite is an outlier in almost all regards. It's just the first Worlds music video featuring players.

The animation style for this was a very conscious choice made by the animators because they just figured it would fit really well with this video. A lot of people were not a huge fan of it. This animation is crazy detailed though. The cinematic shows actual fights from the games of previous World Championships, even using the Skins the players used to make this more recognizable. Hand drawn animation like this is actually harder to make for animators than 3D because you have to actually draw everything, really crazy.

As someone who doesnt play league but keeps up to date with these worlds videos I really like the story that you can pull from watching, Ignite then watching Rise, broccoli mage dude was clearly the champ in Ignite and all the hands trying to reach him are players trying to take his spot, but he just shows why hes the best and wrecks everyone, but the Rise video to me is just the story of one of those shadow hands, climbing the mountain and finally reaching broccoli mage dude at the top and dethroning him. You watched them out of order so it probably didnt mean as much to you but that was the coolest part for me.

The music video itself was a montage of famous plays from previous world championships. First clip was from season 1, when YellowStar (player with glasses) was playing the frost archer Ashe against the fire mage Brand. His team ended up losing in the finals, though it was hard fought. Second showed robot girl Orianna getting slammed into a wall. The related team, the Taipei Assassins, were a heavy underdog seeded into the favorite to win the Season 2 World, Azubu Frost (represented by Ice Giant). While they lost the first game, they eventually did beat Azubu and in doing so took home the World Championship. Third clip shows a variety of champions fighting the biggest monster in League, Baron Nashor. When you kill him, you usually become strong enough to win the game. The Spider Queen Elise is on the enemy team, played by TSM TheOddOne. TSM was way down, and this Baron would have been the nail in the coffin. He suicided into the entire enemy team to try and steal the buff away, and actually did so successfully. TSM still lost the game, but a Hail Mary is hype either way. And yes, the fox lady is the character Ahri who featured in K/DA. Fourth clip is a pan back to Taipei Assassins, who get punched by Azubu Frost but manage to break through (therefore winning the series). It also shows the robot Orianna catching an opponent trying to retreat, the moment that the series started to turn in the Assassins' favor. Fifth clip of the Frost Archer is again season 1, when YellowStar caught out an opponent with a long-range ability that rarely connects. Sixth clip cuts to the bug assassin Kha'Zix (in a mecha skin). His team is on the verge of winning the game, when he turns around and sees his own base in flames. This was an attempt to 'backdoor' where one team ignores the enemy and goes for the nexus kill when they aren't at home to defend it. The backdoor ended up being unsuccessful by the smallest of margins, and Kha'Zix's team was able to win the game. Seventh clip shows SKT T1 Faker, the most famous player of all time, on his most signature pick the Rune Mage Ryze. Eighth clip shows the conclusion to six. Ninth clip shows Faker on his throne (as the defending champion) eating Broccoli and rolling on stage, two things that happened. It then cuts to his team winning a fight in the previous world championship that allowed them to win the game and the trophy.

I was waiting for this one so long! And now, there's a lot to unpack, first of all, yeh, you were right, the girl with the fox ear is from K/DA, that's her basic aspect, and yes all of those people were real players, most of the scenes were also picked up from the games played during the championship, unfortunately I missed that year's tournament so I don't know who is who except the last dude on the throne, that's Faker, top 1 player for a long time, he also appeared on the RISE video on the last fight, now I think he's retired at least for this year. Also imma list the champions in order: First girl is called Ashe, she's like a 'queen' or a northern tribe. She was killed by Brand, he's kind of a human possessed by a spirit of fire Then the girl who was sent flying is Orianna, she's a robot/android The man she caught is called Shen, he's a ninja, kind of. Then those fighting against that big thing are Kennen(the small Boi) he's also a ninja, then there's Aatrox(he's a demonic demigod) there was also Ahri and the spider girl is called Elise(I don't know what she does tbh) The one that looks like a scyther is called Kha'zix(he appeared on the RISE video too, it's the purple claws, in this one he has a different cosmetic skin, he's also my main) He fought against Rumble(the tiny thing on top of that weird mech) Then on the last scene were a lot more, the one who looks like a minotaur is called Alistar(he's basically a minotaur, that's it) Then there's Gnar, the tiny thing that has a suit(he's like a prehistoric species and he's kinda like Hulk, he grows when he's angry) there also was Ryze, the purple looking dude(he's a mage of sorts) I don't remember the last of them but there's a lot of references there. SFJ something you wouldn't get the reference too in this video is each of the "plays" as they are called in game that are shown in the video are references to famous plays that happened at the world championship of the game over the years. Also the team assassins as you called them are the Teipei Assassins and is the team that won the 2nd world championship. the Ice giants are Azubu Frost the team they played in the finals. The monster they are fighting in the third group is called Baron and is a neutral boss that gives a team wide buff when killed. The "cat" is kennan. The guy with the overbite is TheODDOne the jungler from Team Solo Mid. He stole baron from the enemy. Ahri is from K/DA but K/DA wasn't a thing when this came out. The Borg is Kha'zix and that robot appearance is a skin or appearance change you can pay real $ to get for in game. His base appearance is a bug. The guy you paused on while talking about animation with the T1 in a shield on his shirt is FAKER the GOAT of League of Legends. His nickname is the unkillable demon king.

So Incase it wasn’t obvious by all the comments, this was worlds 2016 hype video and they did a historical video showing the previous 5 years 2011-2015 worlds through the players being the characters/champions acted out in the animation. Each combat scene was an Iconic moment from each of those championship finals.

basically, this video shows plays from worlds, for example the guy who is represented like a spider (a champion who's named Elise) steals a "nashor" which is a big objective in the game from the ennemy team. Then, the girl with a bow is ashe (a glacial archer), the one with fire is brand, a guy who fights with fire, the girl with the ball at 7:47 is orianna (an other champ of lol). Then, the guy with glasses is Faker, the legend of lol (he is also at the end of Rise) . Finally we see a kind of insect cyborg (who is a skin of khazix, a champion of the game) that protects alone his base from the ennemy team until the last seconds (that also really happened). THe ice archer (ashe) vs the human torch (brand) is a reference to the game between Fntc vs AAA (against all authority) The Taipei Assassins played against the favorites to win worlds AZUBU frost (frost giants) and won with the Orianna (girl with the ball) pick from TOYZ. Later she she Kills the ninja(shen) it was a play from that game. They're all pro players in the animation, they animated key moments from previous Worlds tournaments up until that point, the music vid's pretty nostalgic and it gives you that sense of hype for the tournament. I didn't like the song at first when it came out but it eventually grew on me.

This music video is going balls to the walls with its references. Good 90% of the music video references an epic moment during the previous World Championships and players. Like the Taipei Assassins who no one thought would win against the "giants" Azubu Frost. Or "unkillable demon king" Faker (easily considered the best player of all time even to this day) who ate brokkoli and did a front roll on stage for the memes. This music video was so hated back then because it didn't live up to the expectations Imagine Dragons left us with Warriors. But hell, this song and video are way too good.
