3:12 so these 6 flames were Mavuika's 6 friends from the "Sunset" short animation, minus Burkina and Sanhaj who died earlier. That's why she says "for with our blood... we will forge our true fate", they died so that the people of Natlan could have a 'true' fate, meaning a fate where the abyss is gone, and the pilgrimage has another meaning. This new meaning is actually the new pilgrimage that we see in the beginning of this trailer (I guess) and in the 5.3 trailer, which takes place in Mavuika's story quest I think? Or after defeating the Lord of Eroded Primal Fire. That's amazing, like, who could've guessed?

It's crazy how almost a year later, this teaser continues to stump everyone. Despite all our theories and speculations, the only real conclusion we can draw so far from it is that it's set at least one year after Mavuika's SQ. I'm beginning to think that this teaser will be relevant around 5.7 and 5.8--which by then this teaser will be a year old in real time. In game, it's already been many months since Act 5's conclusion. Then the next tournament could either happen in Mavuika's second SQ, or during an interlude chapter involving the Mare Jivari, which should be next Natlan expansion.

Then in this teaser, we have two instances where the characters give us an estimate to this teaser's approximate time. First being at 1:02 where Xilonen casually asks if "it's that time of the year again." Which tells us this event is at the very least, an annual one. Then at 1:18, Chasca's "I wonder if she's watching" is referring to the deceased Chuychu. The general atmosphere up until Mavuika entering that mysterious chamber is also a lot more relaxed to the point Mualani and Kachina are trying to promote engagement through recording the event. Whatever is actually going on here is happening in post-war Natlan.

But I seriously didn't catch the Chuychu part. I thought it was just referring to how distant they were to each other. Now that I think about it, why would Mavuika ask Capitano if he's brave enough to compete? Wouldn't he absolutely maul the opponents without any difficulty? Also we notice a phoenix we've never seen in the AQ. Maybe it's symbolizing Capitano's resurrection. Maybe that's the true Ode of Resurrection. Holy, my mind just got blown

@@AccretionLuffy No problem. The tournament replaced the Pilgrimage. I've always thought Natlan is going through some serious time shenanigans. Now in 5.6 with that Mondstadt NPC giving that bizarre update on the Mare Jivari, it seems more likely. That wasn't a phoenix. It was a Qucusaur and strangely enough, it was Mavuika indwelling one--something she has never shown so far in game. There's a lot that is very strange with Natlan, and Mavuika is definitely one of them. Her SQ was odd too, with Traveller having flashbacks to fighting rifthounds with Mavuika (which never happened) and Mavuika confusing Traveller by knowing exactly what they were going to ask. Hopefully these things get answered soon.

Genshin usually make nation and their archon quests based on some real life location and events Mondstadt - Is based on Rhineland-Palatinate region in german, which is famous for its wine culture Inazuma - Based on japan during Sakoku Period Sumeru - Based on Bayt Al-Hikmah (House of Wisdom) in Baghdad and Indian Culture Fontaine - Based on Belle period of france and the Paris flood of 1910 Out of curiosity, i searched a real life events that happened during the Aztec Empire era, which Natlan is based on. There's an event called Flower War (1454-1519), a "war" that made for the purpose of getting human sacrifice for the gods. This main objective of this war is to produce human sacrifices, so the battle goal is to maim or disable the opponents so they can be used for human sacrifices. Although it says to maim the opponents, there are no guarantee that no one will die. There are 5 cities (tribes?) that participates during this flower war. The Aztecs thought that their own warriors who died in a flower war would be transported to the heaven where Huitzilopochtli (the supreme god of sun, fire, and war) lived. I think this Flower war will be the basis of Natlan and the Archon Quests for 5.0

In travail trailer, under every region's act there is a latin text that seems to be something every archon says. Here they are in order: The Outlander Who Caught the Wind My freedom is my song Farewell, Archaic Lord Let the contract be made, though the heavens fall Omnipresence over Mortals Perpetual, Aperennial, impervious Truth Amongst the Pages of Purana Light of wisdom under the flowers Masquerade of the Guilty Justice conquers all Incandescent Ode of Resurrection Rise, O strong man, and go to your destined victory Everwinter Without Mercy: I, nigh unmatched Queen by my glory, shall be guide It is not directly clear wether they are each archon's quotes, but based on the text we can safely assume that, like who else would say "my freedom is my song" except venti, and who else would say "I, nigh unmatched Queen by my glory, shall be guide" except the Tsaritsa herself, lol. So, looking at the natlan one, "Rise, O strong man, and go to your destined victory" If every latin text is indeed the archon's quote, then it is mavuika who said that. That could only mean that she was preparing for capitano's resurrection POST 5.3, because she didn't know about his plan at all before that. Also, it is worth mentioning that for every element, we have a 5 star gemstone used to upgrade characters from that element to level 90. Each gemstone's description has the specific archon's words as well, between textquotes. Anemo gemstone: "Still, the winds change direction "Someday, they will blow towards a brighter future... "Take my blessings and live leisurely from this day onward." Geo gemstone: "The currencies that flow through this land are my flesh and blood. "For thus did I become the guarantor of the people's hard work, wisdom, and future. "This is the trust I have placed in them. Betray it, and you taint my blood. ..... Pyro gemstone: "A pilgrimage for a wish; a battle to earn a name... "Burnt to cinders for a dream. "If the intention yet remains, achieved _'s truth he has." Mavuika already said the first two sentences in the last archon quest while fighting gosoythoth, but there is still the last quote which she did not mention at all until now. What confuses me the most, is why the 5th act "incandescent ode of resurrection" supposed to reveal all this info, actually did not reveal it at all? There could only be two possible interpretations for this: 1. The rumors are true and they have actually completely rewritten natlan (which is unlikely, not only have they never done this before as the previous regions actually matched all those descriptions, but they also have not forgotten dain's quote in the travail trailer "the victors shall burn bright, while the losers must turn to ash. When the god of war shares this secret with the traveler, it is because she has her reasons." They mention this again in 5.0 livestream actually, and they also answer a CN player question that is also related to the trailer. 2. They are actually preparing for a big plot twist, something like "incandescent ode of resurrection: part 2" or something like that.

"My freedom is my song" is said by Dvalin. The quest was about Dvalin finding solace in the songs Venti played on the lyre, so "song" in this context means "happiness" Dvalin got corrupted by the abyss and venti no longer played songs to him, he was filled with hatred until we fixed venti's lyre and played a song for him again and lured him to Starsnatch Cliff, and while he arrived, it didn't make him happy anymore like it used to, he even DESTROYED venti's lyre again (which is why venti had to return it to the church in a broken state, seemingly fixed with his "illusion magic") We ended up cleansing the abyss spines from Dvalin, freeing him & then venti says the quote "what does freedom really mean, when demanded of you by a god?" meaning mondstadt's freedom system (that only works through the four winds protecting it) isn't actually pure freedom, since the four winds like dvalin are FORCED to protect it, just to ensure mondstadt's freedom. Which is why venti at the end of act 3 removes him from the duty as one of the four winds and gives him pure freedom. Now, Dvalin's freedom is his NEW song, the thing that makes him happy. So "My freedom is my song" is said by Dvalin, not venti

I thought it might be venti because he's literally a bard, but it wouldn't make sense for him to say "my freedom" because he is the grantor of this freedom anyways. But, the fact that it is still a quote, and the rest of the latin sentences are indeed quotes said by the archon or someone equally as important, we still haven't heard the natlan one "Rise, O strong man, go to your destined victory" we still haven't heard this or even remotely guess who said it, because capitano offering himself up for LotN at that moment was something no one anticipated.

I have no doubt about the liyue, inazuma and snezhnaya ones, as for fontaine "justice conquers all" I suppose this was probably said by furina during her acting as an archon, I doubt it was said by neuvillette, he wasn't obsessed with justice and was just doing his work. "Light of wisdom under the flowers" this makes me remember padisarahs, here's their description: "The Padisarah is said to derive its name from a certain ancient deity. It is said that in those times long past, there were three gods (nabu malikata, king deshret, and greater lord Rukhaddevata) who had struck up excellent relations with one another. In those days, there was once a great plain covered in lovely flowers that people would gather up and use as incense to offer up to their gods. Those flowers are no longer extant, but the Padisarah is a cultivar that was brought back to the land via the use of the Anahitian Blessing. This is all just an observation, and honestly it doesn't matter much since "light of wisdom under the flowers" doesn't reveal much anyways. As for the natlan quote, I don't think it was said by NPCs because all these quotes are either said by archons or at least key figures, and it is definitely not LotN either, because the quote mentions "go to your destined victory" and LotN was clearly in a neutral position, nothing about her situation even hinted remotely at her having said this. What makes me think this was said by mavuika (in the future) is the fact that it also aligns with the description of the pyro gemstone which is 100% said by her as well.

Just who is Mavuika talking to- what do her words mean, and why haven’t we seen this location that Mavuika was in at the end? Why is there no mention of tossing a ball to announce the tournament? Why would Chasca be talking about Chuychu like that if this was before she died? Why is Mavuika so much more playful and energetic in this trailer even though she was a lot more serious and mature during the main story? Why is Mavuika talking about whether or not Capitano is "brave enough to compete" even though we got no mention of it in-game? I’m not sure if you’ve done Mavuika’s story quest yet, so here’s a spoiler warning. . . . . . . . Mavuika does seem as playful in this teaser as she is after the war in her story quest, and the ball was also used in the same story quest too. So yes i too believe that this trailer does feel as if it is after the war maybe ..? It is quite confusing, especially the way Mavuika is challenging Capitano’s bravery when she never did that in the quests. There are still many questions that were never answered in Natlan’s story quests, and i know that there will be more in the future. For example: where tf is Varka ? 😭 we never got to see Varka vs Capitano which would’ve been sooo interesting! For now let’s just wait and see what happens next in Natlan .

i see many people saying this is the future of the story, to which i completely agree that it is, but i havent seen anyone mentioning one detail. after watching this video, i ask you to go rewatch xilonens trailer. many of us thought that the ancient name she was forging was for the traveler, who would and did, eventually, get one. but now, based on the words she spoke, it doesnt seem likely. and we know one thing: if this is the timeline after the war, and CAPITANO APPEARS, it must mean he will come back from the night kingdom somehow. what if, and hear me out; what if xilonens trailer is actually her forging an ancient name for capitano? i would make sense for it to be for a lot of different people, but it would make so much sense for it to be for him, after the 5.3 quest, and based on the lines of the trailer. i wont yap it here or else it might take forever, but if you have the time go watch the trailer again, and you might discover something new.

Few theory’s I got for Natlan. Neuvi said that natlan was a land of war and dragons. When I first heard war I assumed it would be kinda like inazuma where the people are constantly engaged in battles but now I believe that the war they are referring to would be this tournament(Maybe like “war games”?). Dragons might mean that people from natlan might have dragon blood in their bodies instead of being real dragons.

Also at the end of the trailer that lady said “with our blood we will forge our true fates”. The blood here is probably referring to their dragon blood, so my hypothesis is maybe they will all try to turn into “real dragons” to somehow unlock their “true fate”.(again merely speculation).

Yeah, Act 5 was way too short and inconsequential to be a final act for such a lore heavy nation. We still need answers about Vanessa, The Children of Murata tribe known for their blazing red hair. Why did that tribe leave Natlan. Could Mavuika be a descendant of that lost tribe? The name in the Pyro gemstone is still blurred out. Mavuika still hasn't shared 'the secret' to the traveller. I trust Mihoyo as storytellers after two back to back banger stories with Sumeru and Fontaine. They wouldn't close Natlan so easily and lazily.

Remember guys, Natlan isn't over yet. Although the Archon quest ended, there is still a lot things that can happen in the future. We still don't have Iansan's tribe, we don't have conclusion to Little one's quest, we haven't even touched Mare Jivari and the biggest of all, Natlan's gnosis is still with Mavuika. Remember what Mavuika said at the end of Archon quest finale? That Tsaritsa is most likely sending another Harbringer to fetch the gnosis. We still have 5 patches before we go to Nod-Krai, something big can very much happen in the future.

Little things I’ve noticed -we have no Electro characters yet seen, nor Anemo (none confirmed anyways) -all of the characters are from the tribes, but hydro and geo child are seemingly in the same one -Our supposed pyro archons earrings are like the pyro abyss heralds -where the beginning part is intro’d, you can see a space in the back where it looks like a huge yacht or something of the sort, the reason why I think this is because of all the connecting decks that have the vibe of a boats floor, plus it’s a shark so I mean like cmon -you can see our lil Dendro Xiao swinging by the tail of the pixel Dino thingy in a shot, not the first appearance but still. Maybe it’s his way of moving like spider man -our old goober from the initial genshin trailer thing has been modified!- at least, I think. Now they have elf ears! -at the battle ground area, you can see tubes flowing towards the upper area, they might be musical instruments but I’m unsure -Pyro ladies Outfit has a huge zipper in the front, much like a biker, but it could also be a design clue since everything in this area has triangles, likely due to the area natlan is based off of. -Pyro lady seems to be able to turn into a Phoenix! She also has fancy shoes that seem mecha (maybe a hint to HI3 Himeko?) -The pattern on the backside of Pyro ladies hair seems like a solios pattern (like sun rays from a child’s drawing or tribal drawings of the sun) -Hydro girl is based off of a seal, she even has a seal plushie wrapped around her wrist, and her hair is designed like it’s fins

Why is no one talking about Mavuika? She has, in my opinion, one of the BEST hair designs in all of Genshin. It’s so ethereal looking, which, assuming she is most likely the Pyro Archon, really fits her character to a tea! I’m so glad that Mihoyo has started putting female characters in actual pants and suits, it’s such a refreshing change. The designs are phenomenal, they all look so pretty and unique!

Maybe no-one will see this comment but that's ok xD I think this trailer doesn't show Natlan's archon quests, but what happens after the war. There are a few clues that could prove it. In particular, the fact that Mavuika talks to Capitano as if she already knows him and they get on well. We know that she only meets him on the Archon's quests, so how can she talk to him as if they were... friends ? And we see that Capitano is already hanging out with Ororon (and we see their bond forming during these quests too, they weren't friends before). There's also Chasca saying ‘I wonder if she is watching’, so maybe she's talking about her dead sister. After Natlan's quests, the tournament was turned into competitive games, and the ball in this trailer would represent those new games after the war. So that means they'll probably find a new way to ‘revive’ Capitano (even if he's not 100% dead) and maybe she'll put the pyro gnosis into play for the Fatui who want to take it. This may explain why this trailer doesn't seem to show a nation ready to go to war, but a nation of games and competitive spirit. ^^

I feel like this is post 5.3 AQ climax, where Mavuika has fulfilled the 500-year plan, and the tribes are competing for the new spot of Archon. Hence Mavuika teasing Capitano to join in aswell, who will likely win given his history with Natlan and acquire the Gnosis. Might also be a hint with Mavuika telling the sacred flame to "burn again", and telling the ancient name bearer's spirits to "close their eyes", symbolizing that they can finally rest
