I am currently pursuing masters in English from IGNOU. They don't help in anything. The study center also doesn't help. They tell us that they'll conduct few classes before exams but they absolutely don't. The exam doesn't follow any pattern. 5 invigilator in one class. Fails most of the students. Number system is also very bad. They don't give full marks obtained in assignment but only 30% of what you obtained. And even though it's a central university, It's value is still lower than that of regular colleges and universities. Just do Distance learning from other renowned universities like Rabindra Bharati University or Kalyani or universities that also have regular mode. My friends left regular mode thinking distance will be easy but now they're regretting it. Good Luck to everyone reading it.

5 invigilators are their in a exam hall , so that no student can cheat in exam . And less corruption in exams . For example - If you are appearing for upsc will you say that their are 5 invigilators,so I will not write the exam ? And this is the reason why IGNOU certificate has a value , otherwise Bina padhe pass ho ke bhi kya milega kisi ko ? If anyone want easy degree without study , then what's the use of it ?

@@samiksha2711 You can do research of your own and that would be more reliable than somebody else telling you that . There's a lot of review videos are out there on KZbin as well so don't bother yourself getting 2nd hand experience, do it your own . Hope this helps.

1. Mostly ignou doesn't support malpractices in examinations ,so students have to study otherwise they fail, so ignou certificates are valuable as a regular university. 2. Just filling more pages with anything doesn't give you marks , you should have basic subject knowledge when appearing for examination , even if you write in less pages with good content you get marks . 3 . I studied degree and master degree in hindi literature in ignou and qualified in ugc net examination. 4. You get results in 25-30 days from the date of exam . Edit - 11/07/2024 5. Best thing is that after completing your course , you no need to pay certificate fee for your marks list and provisional certificates , it's free of cost . 6. For applying OD certificate only you have to pay 600 , ( migration certificate 500 , if you want to study in other university after your course completed ) . Students who countinue in IGNOU , no need of OD and migration certificate .
