Igor Grom (Major Grom: Plague Doctor) | Fighter

Frankly, I watched Major Grom: Plague Doctor about 2 months ago. But yesterday Netflix released it on its platform and I'm a little bit confused... On the one hand, I really liked this movie. It is bright, dynamic and pretty funny. The film was made by people who have a great passion for superheroics and comics. On the other hand, I can see that Major Grom: Plague Doctor has some problems and I'm not sure if this movie is capable of surprising, for example, an American audience. Superhero fiction is a natively American genre, and Major Grom is unlikely to bring something new to it (but in fairness, the creators still tried to destroy several popular clichés). Anyway. This film is worth it. My country has taken a small step towards superhero films and I believe that the sequel will be even better!
I'm not trying to be a PR manager of Major Grom, but if you are intrigued, if you want to see kinda mix of Batman and V for Vendetta, if you have Netflix and some spare-time, then by all means, go for it! Watch this movie and share your thoughts with me.
I also hope you'll enjoy my video, because it was a HUGE pleasure for me to edit all these fights, blows, explosions and so on.

Thanks for the video. I just watched this movie tonight and why i found your video. as an Aermican i can say i loved the movie. It was good, i loved Grom as a character and the actor is amazing as well. Grow was a bad ass but a good guy at the same time. like you said, the movie had a few small issues and slowed down at parts, but i loved it none the less. two of my favorite movies of all time are Night Watch and Day Watch and this one is a definite watch for people. i wouldn't mind seeing a few more from this series. it was a refreshing story, specially seeing what American movies have become, nice to see good story telling again. hopefully you all will share with us a few more good movies like this in the future.. This is what i needed to watch.

@@shepishsmile163 Oh, to be honest, it is pretty difficult to advise something. 😅 Russian cinema has been in decline for a long time, plus, I doubt that you will find a translation of some films... Many modern Russian movies are a kind of "depressive drama". This is filmed by director Andrey Zvyagintsev. But if you are looking for something not so sad and realistic, I can advise "Silver Skates" (this film was also recently released on Netflix, but I don't know if it is available in your country). I also like "Hardcore Henry" ("Хардкор"), wich was filmed by Ilya Naishuller, the guy who works in Hollywood now. "Skif" ("Скиф"), "Why don't you just die!" ("Папа, сдохни"/"Papa, sdochni"), "The Student" ("Ученик"), "The Summer" ("Лето"/"Leto"). The latter is a biopic about rock musician Viktor Tsoi (btw, a cover of his song "Changes" sounded at the beginning of "Major Grom"). Over the past few years, good TV series have also appeared in Russia. You can try to find "Topi" ("Топи"). One of the main roles was played by Tikhon Zhiznevsky, aka Igor Grom. And "Vampires of the Middle Strip" (with Dmitry Chebotarev, aka Oleg Volkov), which has strong "What We Do in the Shadows" vibes. 😉

I stumbled upon this movie on Netflix. I watched it because I had gone thru all the Netflix catalog and have watched everything else so I was craving for something new. Since the movie had the plague doctor, I thought it was just another pandemic movie. But the movie turned out better than I imagined and I ended up liking it. I watched it a few times after the first watch and rewatch it occasionally every few months. Hopefully there will be a sequel to it.

I thoroughly enjoyed the movie. The plot was very intriguing because I think we live in a time where such a scenario could very much happen since wealth and power are unequally distributed which in history has sparked riots or worse. Therefor the plot really got me Also the chemistry betqeen the main cast was great. What also reall stood out for me was the music. I hope there will be a sequel
