A dispute has erupted between Inspector-General of Police Kayode Egbetokun and the Police Service Commission (PSC) over the retirement directive for officers who have hit 35 years of service or turned 60.
The PSC ordered an immediate retirement, but in a shocking twist, the IGP instructed officers to stay put pending further notice. This has sparked outrage from senior retired officers, who accuse the IGP of undermining due process.
