Awesome video, that is sure a task by yourself , but with the double jacks,wedges and a nice place to work you made it look easy! Someone sure did keep their foot on it to much! Glad it went well, thank you for bringing us along, and look fwd to the next part! Thank you sir!

I'm glad you said something. Your comment went into the held for review section. I don't know why or understand that. Yes the jacks and wedges work well. Yes they must have had their foot on the clutch pedal all the time.

That looked like it went real smooth. You've got a nice area to work on it and are out of the weather. Thanks for sharing.

Nice tip on the wedges Dewalt real impressive. Those make of IH tractors 84, 74 if you're not careful you'll find yourself riding with your foot resting on the clutch pedal. Found myself doing time to time. Have a good one Monty

Thanks. I like the dewalt. The more I use the more I like it. I know what you are talking about. I grew up running ford 8N's, 600 and 800 series tractors.

That didn't seem too bad to split- of course I wasn't there to hear any bad words slip out! LOL
@VintageFarm10863 жыл бұрын
No it didn't come apart hard at all. The bad words came when I was putting it back together. I will explain that in the next video.

hello, what is the distance from the clutch pressure to the paws so that the clutch works well?

When you get new parts, that have plastic plugs. Save the plugs! We have a plastic box full (keeps them clean) usually find something to plug a line with. Always gotta block the front axle, unless you have bolt on splitting dollies, then it can't tip. Cordless tools have really spoiled us!! Just gotta have enough batteries...
@VintageFarm10863 жыл бұрын
Yes I have a bunch of those plugs, they come in handy. Yeah, I don't split tractors enough to justify splitting stands. That's one of the reasons I got a Dewalt. All my cordless tools are dewalt.

@@VintageFarm1086 we made a set of stands. Most of what I have is DeWalt. I just couldn't justify the price of the good impact. So Hobo Freight it was..
@VintageFarm10863 жыл бұрын
Most of my friends use implement jacks for splitting stands. They put wheels on the bottoms and weld plates on side to bolt to the tractor frame. I found that impact on sale for a 1/3 off.
