He's likeable but I don't really feel sorry for him. These kinds of people mostly have themselves to blame. * Several months behind on his rent, but doesn't look for a real job out of comfort, and still pays for leisure stuff like XM. * Diabetic, but still does competitive eating. * Always alone, but still turns down a date with a 48-year-old woman because she's "too old" for him at 43.

Pat is. Type 2 diabetic. Which means he has destroyed his insulin sensitivity through fatness and sedintary lifestyle. I'm a type 1 which means I have NO insulin because my immune system attacked my pancreas. It is infinitely worse than type 2. Pat is just lazy and enjoys his life of lying around eating and feeling sorry for himself. I guarantee Pat has been offered jobs from fans that he refuses to attempt.
