I’m gonna try this out. When I used to skate I could only get my hardflips on a banked hip at the skatepark. Here I am twenty years later with a thrashed 40 y/o body trying to learn to skate all over again. My flip tricks have been a battle especially with how much boards themselves have changed. I’m skating an 8.5 now and my old setup back in the day was a 7.5. I’m having fun but it’s so much more challenging with thirty plus years of injuries from rollerblading and snowboarding.

I can only switch hardflip. I've never been able to just Hardflip. So hyped for this video. Hardflips and Kickflips have always been not my go to but I love the way they look. I have always been able to switch hardflip easier or fakie kickflip, not regular kickflip or regular hardflip.

For me personally I read an article of Transworld Skateboarding's trick tips with PJ Ladd where he described it as literally a frontside pop shove it with a kickflip. He mentioned NOT thinking of it as a frontside flip without the turning of the shoulders. I also learned from watching the classic Bryan Herman slow-mo video he has. Not to info overload but your setup and body weight plays a key factor on how to do it. Sewa Kroetkov has a mean ass Hardflip (and tutorial on his channel) BUT his board size is an 8.15/8.25 if I'm correct. So depending on your board size you might have to put both feet closer towards the center of the board rather than like a kickflip where your front foot covers most of the board.

One of the best tricks and i love your sb dunk colourway. I can do sw ones but more vertical and could do the regular ones when i was younger. My favourite trick is fs shuvit and i have to try regular hardflips soon. They look so damn good! (: I totally agree with your experiences doing hardflips over the hip or in the bank. The tricks are much harder on flat.

Hardflips are my fav trick but I have been cursed with the muska lookin hardflip i've always wanted a good structured one where you can actually see it flip. I think my main issue is i'm focusing to much on the pop rather than the flick but this video helped me out a lot and ill definitely use these tips next time I go out and try it!

Just because he didnt explain your two specific questions it’s a useless video?? That’s a little wierd. He explained quite a lot in this video. Maybe you didn’t listen which is just honestly a you problem. Don’t complain on here, ask a question in a nicer tone and you’ll probably get a response. This is just mad childish and wierd. He explained a lot about his pop, his flick, positioning, landing, where and when he does them, what he is thinking, what another individual trying these tips does. Like in my eyes that’s a great video. He even said unofficial trick tip. He said he treats it like a front shuv, that’s his secret. So yeah I would say he gave a trick tip, actually gave even more than that aswell. Grow up crybaby, not going to get anywhere sitting and whining.
