The issue with this this instructor is that he just plugs in values with no mention of how he obtained those, or atleast some remark on how those values would relate to the real systems..and just plugs them in. No mention about the units either. If the intention was to make modelling clear to a beginner, then I honestly think this person is not doing a good job in making things any simpler.
