Ihor is a consummate maestro of economy, he is able to provide educational pedagogical tutorials while showcasing his fine mature taste of pure blissful fresh evolving soundscapes that never tire. 20 years ago I designed my first Modcan/Cynthia and truly this setup while basic got old quickly. I had a plain vanilla modular with 4 OSC and Quad LFOs Multiple filter clones and a analog 8x2 step and 16x4 sequencers but somehow I was never totally convinced and ended selling everything. I know what I want sonically both in terms of OSC and Filters and modulation sources but I am so overwhelmed by all there is to learn with all the new Eurorack possibilities in particular all the new school sequencers and exotic designs and terms out there. I don't want to make the same mistake again of endlessly selling and buying modules at a loss like I did in the past. Thanks Ihor for taking us closer in our journey to heavenly world of synthesis. Peace 🙏

Been waiting for more modular videos! Always fun and informative. I have the Osiris as well and haven't tried this combo. I would recommend taking a look at the Malekko Voltage Block if you haven't already! it's basically like Mimetic and kindaaa like Maestro but with 8 tracks and each one very much performable. Can be used for quantized pitch sequences as well as modulations with scales, smoothing and direction changes per track, randomization etc... Using it with Lapsus Os and then you have another 4 lanes of modulation to do self patching or whatever else :). Also excited to see what you are working on with the 7U case! I moved my 1u row to the middle and it really is a game changer as far as comfort in patching. Similar to doing the case flip with the palette in my opinion, Take care!
@IhorMedia2 жыл бұрын
Hey Carlos! Thank you for all the kind words and a nice advice here! I did move my 1U to the middle as well. Indeed much better. The Voltage Block, no I haven’t tries, but I will have a look at it now.

You could send the sub out raw or filtered from Osiris and not need at external baseline. Nice setup though and endless possibilities through the effects channel
@IhorMedia2 жыл бұрын
Absolutely! On the bigger case I do exactly that - raw sub from Osiris into a mixer. What amazing is that you can also send notes separately into the sub! In this small case though I didn’t have a mixer 😁 so, made the sub on the syntakt

Super nice sounds in this jam! The Ghost seems quite interesting. Btw, which caps did you put on the Lapsus faders? Where did you get them? They're nice! Also have you tried the XAOC Devices Katowice? I find it amazing to split my frequencies and route them through different effects. I think it's my favourite module atm, it works really well with the Manis Iteritas for example (which has a lot of lows/mids/highs to split). Routing the lows through a mono filter, mids through the Magneto and the highs through a stereo delay for example.
@IhorMedia Жыл бұрын
The caps (just 4 of them) I got from the MIDI Amsterdam synths shop! I don't even remember what brand was it ;) I have not yet tried Katowice, but it is on my radar. Your idea of splitting the frequencies sounds appealing to me! Maybe once! Thanks for watching and your comment!
