I love how you guys always play matched grip, is there any specific reason why?

Ya, our directors had us do matched so everyone in battery has the same technique, makes it easier to teach. That has not changed since I left

@@keys- It is pretty cool, but I personally think that traditional grip looks clean and better when someone has the correct form.

@@magicaviation2990 I totally agree, traditional is my preferred, when done well. (I recently switched from snare to quads and i keep holding my sticks in traditional on accident.) I prefer traditional, but it's still really cool that there's people out there that march matched grip.

Why is the drum head on backwards?

That’s fairly common on snare drums and quads. Sometimes we’ll play at the front edge so putting the logo on the bottom allows it to not be hit and thus not be degraded over time. Purely as an aesthetic choice

This is actually one of the Dallas Cowboys practice facilities, they allow the high schools in the area to have their football games here sometimes. It’s nice, but not the best for band, very boomy and hard to listen
