IIDX 2nd Style (GC985JA)

This is IIDX 2nd Style, the sequel to IIDX Substream. This is the last version of Beatmania IIDX that can link with Dance Dance Revolution. Like Substream, this links with Club Mix v. 2. Unlike both 1st Style and Substream, there was never a release of IIDX 2nd Style that did not have network capabilities built in. There was no upgrade disk or separate kit to provide linking functionality, it was built into the default version of the game. Beatmania IIDX 2nd Style introduced the vertical song select screen that is still present in IIDX today, marking a divergence from 5key as it set to define its own style. It also introduces Hi-Speed mode which is still a critical component of IIDX today. However, it still has the intro video from 1st Style and Substream and still supports both 4keys and 5keys modes.

it's amazing that you got this working! i wish that i could play this, but the only way i can is through an emulator and not all the files exist for it so i can't. how exactly did you get the games and all? i'm genuinely curious.

It's real hardware, not emulation.
