Totally depends on you bhai that how much you can grind in your engineering be it cs or ece it wont matter speaking college wise iiitdmj is better but don’t just see the placement because sabhi ka bhaut jada nahi lagega so better go which your family can afford and also ece of Jabalpur is also very good and cs of Guwahati is also very good

Are all students irrespective of there branch (specially mechanical) allowed to sit in IT sector placements? and I heard that the placements stats also included the 40 amazon 6 month internships, which most of them didn't get converted to ppo at all and therefore the stats are way too high this year..... can you please ask few seniors on this matter or provide me with some contacts. Yes you can go for it but I will say that if u have trust on u that u can do things on ur own then sm is a good branch for u since it’s a new branch clg doesn’t give it much value but if u want to learn it has many fields and the job profiles of sm people is more diverse than other branches

branch change is hard but not impossible you will have to study very hard throughout the first year and get minimum 9+ cgpa only then u can change branch to cse that too if seats are vacant in ur category be it gen/obc/sc/st and lastly first year syllabus is same for all branches

The honest answer wud be for iiit pune if you are looking for on campus becasue you will find compaines like google and goldmansachs at iiit pune on campus itself but for iiitdmj companies only till amazon have till data of 2021 - 2022 and average of cse was 18.93 lpa and for iiit pune average of 2021 - 2022 was 16.83 lpa considering the saturation we are seeing for iiitdmj i dont think in coming 4 years iiit pune's average package will be behind that of iiitdmj so you can go for iiit pune if you are seeing only the palcement perspective of college life. But if you see the college life that will be way better here at iiitdmj compared to iiit pune because this is a very old college compared to it and also the return of investment is way higher for iiitdmj compared to iiit pune

@@NITianumesh. yes you will be getting iiit Jabalpur mechanical and smart manufacturing with your rank but I suggest you to go for iiit kanchepuram smart manufacturing that is best for this rank or also you can go for iiit Kurnool ece as it’s also a very good option with this rank and if you can afford high fees of private iiits then you have many other options
