Very true in this presentation. *HOWEVER* the UCL IIPP does a lot of very good work. Mariana Mazzucato's work on exposing the horrendous issues with the consulting industry is 100% brilliant. I'm Australian and we have major scandal with PwC going on right now. The recent series by Damon Silver of Neoliberalism is a must for anyone wanting an in depth understanding of what Neoliberalism is, where it came from and what its doing at this moment in time. There's some huge issues in Economics at the moment and the UCL IIPP is one of the few places trying to do anything constructive.

Quite sad to see that the Entrepreneurial State narrative has not developed or progressed in the 10 years since it’s publication. Mazzucato is a true pro at talking a good talk, hustling with celebs and pushing open doors though, so kudos to that - true embodiment of “storytellers rule the world” innit? To her fans watching this: feel free to keep things that way and love her all the same; but never meet your hero, as you’d be overwhelmed by the hypocrisy behind the grand façade.
