Now that I see the height of the control deck is higher than the legends ultimate I like this even better!

I have the same issue with the sharpness of the older games. They look a lot better on other machines. I hope they fix this at some point.

Wow, great overview/review of the iircade. I just bought a dragons lair iircade and I cannot believe how well this thing is made compared to my arcade1ups. This cabinet is beautiful.

That's it, I'm buying one. Great review. Initially, I wasnt crazy about the design, but it has now completely grown on me. 800$ for the arcade 1up dragons lair is too expensive, and I can it here for less. Plus, better controls, build quality and a 19 inch screen, SOLID SOLD!

Great review as always Michael. I have an iiRcade and I am really enjoying it so far. For me I bought it as a fan of Dragons Lair but this cab can do so much more. This how you do a review. I hope the 1 Up community gives this atcade a chance it is worth it.

I like it but I hope more 17+ rated games come out. Also there needs to be more games that show off the hardware of iircade like riptide and a few others do that will make it different from 1up and atgames.

I completely agree about showing off the hardware. I think that will be very beneficial. I know Dead Cells is coming but getting something like Streets of Rage 4 or Bloodstained would be big. Obviously getting big retro titles as well but the hardware is the biggest differentiator

Thanks man. I tried moving them into another configuration to make more space but it just wouldn't work. No sense leaving the arcade the way it was when it was nearly impossible to film in there.

Hi Michael B! If it had a more competitive price point compared to AtGames and Arcade 1up, I would definitely be interested. I don't like that you don't own the games you download and buy.

Great review Michael! Dude Im excited for you to be able to play Gunbird 2 on this. I have it in Dreamcast and its one of my favorites. While I think the games are really going to tell the story of this cab for the majority. I was already sold with the line up, Ys 1 and 2, Gunbird 2, Space Harrier, Retromania, and Dead Cells. Everything else is just bonus. I was just like you that I was on the fence about this and didn't think it was for me but came away surprised by the cab. Its just fun for me. Very solid, great controls, great sound, HDMI out, Headphone. Im also a simple person though because I just like games. They dont have to be big titles for me to enjoy because a good/fun game is just that regardless of how well known it is. There are some hidden gems out there. Heavy Smash and Tengai being two examples that I just discovered on this cab. And I personally like that they are games not featured on my other cabs. But they'll obviously need to get some big named titles to really sell these well and hopefully they do. Oh and Im getting that At games mini. Can't resist making that into a vertical cab

love everything about this BUT for the price shouls ship sanwa controls/buttons. also, needs better games. even if they are expensive and are addona later. games quality selection isnt good enough to pay 800

Great review Michael B. I also became interested in this after watching Jong on PDubs livestream. He’s a real quality person and a great CEO. I can’t wait to get my Iircade and start buying games. I’m bummed because shipments were supposed to go out today and I haven’t received any notification yet. ***Update*** Got my notification, it’ll be here by Wednesday! Going to buy at least 15 different games!!

Micheal B you can buy Zacarria Platinum Bundle for $75 which gives all all the current tables and 50% any new tables created. Do you think Atgames is charging too much ($200 base price) for the four pinball packs WITHOUT the deluxe tables?

OMG did you say Y's??? I do like the iircade unit but I wish it had a few things like a hdmi input to add other things like things like the Atgame Arcade Legends did. I also wish we had a SD card slot to expand the storage.

600 Dollars for a low end computer, joystick panel and small LCD screen and it's made from MDF? It should be made from plywood for this price. MDF is very heavy and not stiff or particularly strong. Given it's a fairly small screen, an OLED would be nice at this price.

Good Review.....I passed on this thing....doesnt offer me anything I dont have now, and what, you get 11 games on it and have to pay for every game after that.... For $749 USd?

Yep it’s way overpriced for what it is.... I have seen hardly no heavy hitters on the machine and atm it’s loaded with indies.... whole point of a arcade is to bring back memories of going into a arcade.... Rastan, PAC Man, Dig Dug, Galaga, Narc, Mappy, Smash TV, Ninja Turtles, Simpsons, etc... the fact that they cheaped out on t-molding and cover it up with tape is sad 😢 ex specially the 800 dollar price point.... o well at least I can relieve my retro nostalgia on my Legends cabinet

Eh...hard pass on this one. I don't like the artwork, and the bundled game line-up doesn't appeal to me. I also passed on the ALU for the same reasons. I am mostly drawn to the games that I played as a kid and teenager back in the 80's, and not really interested in the more "modern" games. I see iiRcade more as a competitor to ALU as opposed to A1Up.

Nice review. The fact that they offer THEMED cabinets now (as opposed to generic multicade) make it an eligible purchase for me. I love the idea of it being a modern arcade. But... I’m still holding off until there are more games on it that interest me. So I hope it grows!

I dont think I'll get one as 2 high a price. I have 2 nodded 1ups 1 with a pi3b plus and 1 with a PC for steam and everything else. Plus just got the legends gamer pro. But great video. Love your stuff

This thing looks cool. Arent you Canadian? Reviewing a product that they dont seem to be selling in Canada. We get shafted with alot of these products despite being second largest cluntry in the world lol We also get to pay double when it does finally make it over here. Oh and they are all made in China so really no reason for it.

Nice build for the price, but not a fan of depending on a network to play stuff. There should be an option to play offline. Even Steam allows that.

It's connected to your network, but you don't DEPEND on the network to play. The game ROMs download to the machine and run locally. So yes, should you lose your Internet for whatever reason you can still play your games offline.
