very good and informative ,i have a query is there little to no placement for bs ms programme in iisc i am considering to join in july but as per ur info majority of placements are for mtech nd software field so is it worth it to join bs ms in iisc?

Its Indian Institute for SCIENCE. Its glory is in research in Science only. definitely you must join if you have joining offer. Yes placement is not that great than Engg students. But what I have seen, mostly BSc students visit abroad for MS/PhD and then grab great jobs in industry.

Mtech AI is always recommended. It gives you more exposure.

For MTech AI its sufficient. But remember with DA paper your choice is limited since very little IITs and IISc offering Mtech AI. Gate CSE gives you more choices

Depends on your goal and situation. If your goal is just to have a job after MTech, then look for JU's placement stat. If its good, you can go for it. But for better research career try to get into good IITs/IISc. Now if you dropped few years and struggling with good gate rank, then you should go for JU.

Yes scholarship you should get as 12.4k per month. Internship opportunity also will be there , but number of companies visited for chemical science will be limited and lesser than engg students
