The quality of student life is much better in IISc than IITs. There is no unnecessary competition with BTECHs in IISc. Moreover we all know in IITs the star of the campus is BTECH whereas in IISc the star of the campus is MTECH. And after working so hard for 4 years even when odds were against us and cracking an exam like GATE, one should definitely make sure that all their hardwork is worth it by going into an institute which is especially made for Post Graduate studies☺️

Incorrect. IISc star students are Ph.D. students. MTech/MS is usually seen as a bridge degree toward a research degree.

wrong way of seeing things.yes in IIT's you can have competition with the B.tech people but this doesn;t mean you are at a disadvantage and there;s a lot to learn from these people actually where top rankers of jee advanced are there and this in growth perspective and learning IIT is better if one has an attitude of learning whereas in IISC's you don 't have the B.tech and you can see that as advantage but there has to be competition to set a benchmark in every field so that one can grow and learn. and Yes if you are fully committed that you are going to make your carrer in research than IISC is preffered but this is actually a bullshit excuse that for research you have to chose only IISc , if you know your research areas and real life problem statements to solve , the person needs only the platform be it IITB , IISc, IITM they all are good and very good support for the ideas the advantage in IIT's is that the options and opportunities are very much more depending upon the exposure you'll gain especially like IITB AND IITM so it all boils down to what you are preferring , if you want to keep all the options open be it research, placements other exposure than simply IITB and IITM are the options whereas IISc is kind of a commitment because the exposure is mainly towards research side so you are going to grow mainly on that phase of your M.tech.
