I enjoy your videos but find a lot lacking in historical ties to the Tanakh and the Jewish secular life. I'm 68 years old and NOT Jewish but fascinated by the tenacity of the Jewish and Hebrew peoples. Living in the south of Charlotte NC and an academic scholarship to UNC have had the wonderful access To Bart Ehrman and then later as an undergrad with James Tabor. The good old Bible Belt. Thanks to Adonai for Viet Nam, the draft, and the GI Bill. You teach from a totally different aspect of of the written word and the history of the, assumed fictitious until tangibly and empirically proven. Given the flavor of the Sumerian and Arcadian similarities; you make an excellent case for everything being mythical. Very unusual from a rabbi, but I'm not familiar with your association. But, diversity of thought creates doubt only to people that believe they already have attained the truth and mo more is needed. I appreciate this narrative and see it as an opportunity to widen my viewpoint and firm beliefs in theological and philosophical thought process. Luckily theoretical mathematics and quantum physics as part of the philosophical umbrella helps quite a bit for an erudite with too much time on their hands. Your discussion group and Q&A is a bit mundane and dumbed down or either some are just lay-people as the discussion lacks in every way except for your explanations. I'll give a month or so and see if I feel any thought provocative tangents and get back to you. Keep up the good work.
