Getting 9.8 is almost not possible due to air resistance and offcourse the mass of the string and the gravity of earth is not same everywhere like in some places due to different compositions of the earth it may be 9.76 or 9.78 like that even buoyancy makes the difference

Simple pendulum experiment is done by CBSE class 12th science students. Bifilar pendulum experiment is done by graduation physics honors students. Engineers never get the opportunity to do it.

Ye exp ham logon ko NIT Rourkela mein bhi Kara rahe hain... Aur mere dost ko DU mein BSc mein bhi Kara rahe hain... Toh pls har cheez mein IITs ko itna glamorize mat kijie sir kyuki inhi wajah se jee advanced ka ppr jab bura jaata hai toh bahut jyada bure khyal aate hain....
