hahaha ...these kids have huge salary expectations. PS: I'm an alumnus of IITM, 2014 passout. Untill now no one from my batch, as far as I know has salary greater than 3L in hand per month. Kids stop dreaming ! IIT isn't everything, it isn't an achievement it's an oppurtunity. you gotta work hard. And don't underestimate other colleges (you'll find some guys from local colleges in your office when you start working)

I have stopped playing football for preparing competitive exams since 11 which I found myself enjoying watching the UEFA champion league and some boys who get into iit didn't even know Messi or Ronaldo makes me quite surprising and btw they are the athletes that have trained since age 6 or 7 but getting into iit can be done within 3 or 4 yrs with good strategy as I have seen many of my seniors did

All the people asking we r Tamil peoples See iit Madras not some college which take 12th mark and give u admission U have to qualify jee mains and jee advance with good ranks then only u can join ...this. Institution * No donation noothing only merit based So who all secure good marks automatically choose iit Madras It's true that students in tn mostly don't know about ...jee mains. And join other college Tn has no 1 iit: iit Madras Top no 1 nit:nit Trichy Lack of knowledge is prob in tn Edit: there are also people from TN but few And iit is known for its diversity!!

@Dhruv Kumar Jha IIT placements aren't as high as most people think. Placements mostly depends on your branch but people from IITM also get low packages of 4 lakhs. The average would probably somewhere between 10-15 lakhs
