i am in this degree, you will be studying from your home thats it. you will get the real authentic degree what you would get if would had studied offline. so BS is a 4 year degree and it is accepted everywhere, even there is a plus with this degree (BS is recognised abroad so it will be easy for BS degree holders), Plus data science is going to be boom by 2026 and you will have a degree from most prestigious college so, win wi situation from everywhere. (Catch is You have to really study or it will literally kill you, its hard not easy, easy in initial days but after some months, oof the real IIT level gets introduced)

Yes you can in fact data Sci and economics would get along really well, As of criteria you should have passed your 10 th with English & mathematics being the core subjects which won't be a big deal I suppose since mostly all schools have these two as the core subjects 12 the doesn't matter However mathematics is the heart of Data Sci and Even the Quantitative economics involve lot of topics like game theory Probability stats time series analysis chaos systems so make sure to put in few extra hours for mathematics part & you'd be having all those skills required to work in the most paid sectors of today's world
