What would happen exactly, if the distance between 2 parallel plates isn't integer multiple of m? (It is something like impedance matching, that otherwise it would have a reflection (or distribution)?

At theta equal to π/2 propagation will be parallel to wave guide then in that case it should be maximum but as cos theta is equal to m times lambda divided by two times d then at theta equal to π/2 wave will not exist. Please someone explain.

See, there are two parts in the equation of E(electric field). First one is standing wave [Sin{BxCos(theta)}] and another part is travelling wave {Sin(theta)}. It is given that, theta is equal to π/2. Here we can see that travelling wave consists of sin term which will immediately take the highest value and becomes zero but for the standing wave part, the overall term becomes zero. The inner cos will become zero making big theta 0 for Sin term and hence overall zero for standing wave part. Now comes the equation part of E(Electric field) where standing wave and travelling wave are in multiple fashion and we already know that anything multiplied by zero will become zero. Hence it is advisable to not use parallel incident wave in parallel plane waveguide because the E term for that wave will become zero automatically making it non-trackable at another end of the waveguide.

If theta is 0 degree then according to you propagation will be max but then group velocity will be minimum and at theta = π/2 the group velocity will be c . And what will happen if I increase my d and keep theta = π/2?
