excellent ....he cleared most of my doubts...specially the DC charactersitcs of NMOS is very tough to understand in books ......he made it clear through load line concept ....

Thanks. Never fully understood the use of the depletion mode transistor until now. Great explaination. Looking into nmos logic circuits die shots from Commodore/MOS ICs ca mid 80s, and they use nmos logic and depleation mode loads.

"Pinch off" is altogether a different phenomena. The depletion type MOS must also have the pinch off characteristics which is defined by the pinch off voltage. Then, why is the Threshold voltage for depletion type is being called the pinch off voltage. They shouldn't be the same. It is not necessary that the pinch off voltage should be negative. Refer 46:00

Its the V threshold . Depends on the transistor

@ayesha1986100 Vt is always the treshold voltage.... most of the time is 25mV

resistor can not be fabricated in a chip

It will increase time constant of a device RC...so device will be slow
