This is how you are taught in IISc. Dr Murthy is fortunate to have been taught by some of the best professors at IISc. He is doing a good job of passing down the legacy.

shear occurs along 110 direction to form BCT from FCC having c/a ratio as 1.414, which is also geometrically obtained by combining 2 unit cells of FCC. what role does shear play then?

i have seen many lecture by iit professor ,,,,but this lecture is something far different...even a layman understand it
