I wish to learn how to find out how much the steel bars in Reinforced Concrete Structures are corroded inside. Can we estimate the condition of steel reinforcement bars non destructively, that is without removing the covering concrete or in any way disturbing the structure ? Is there any instrument that can detect the extent of corrosion of steel from outside the concrete ?
