hey. Suppose we use the second definition of erosion. Let the origin of W-X be at the center of W-X. When we place the origin on the top pixel from the two pixels on the left hand side of the result of (A erosion with X), W-X overlaps the bottom of the original left hand side image which means that in this position W-X is not a subset of the compliment of A, hence the origin in this position is not included in the result. Likewise happens if the origin of W-X is placed one pixel below.

In hit or miss transform when we do the compliment of A and erode it with W-X how only 1 pixel is remaining..I am unable to understand it..If any one can explain this..

Consider how to create the right Hit and Miss masks to detect: a. Horizontal lines of the length 4. b.vertical lines of the length 2 or 3. c.right lower corner Can someone answer this questions?
