This has helped to harden my Cement Knowledge. May my understanding form early like tricalcium silicate, (Ca3SiO) but become strong over time like dicalcium silicate, (Ca2SiO4), and remain heated by the calcium hydroaluminates.

May you please cite here the original article demonstrating the diagram for physicochemical changes of hydration phases (Video time: 19:30 to 25:30 minutes).

hi, thank you so much for this detailed and informative session on Cement!! just a question towards the end of the video it was explained that because of capillary pores that strength of cement is compromised but my understanding earlier in the video it was because of gel pores !! any explanation on which one is the cause for shrinkage and weakness of the cement paste? thank you

sir could u please give me ans that which was the first bogue's compound react with water when added to cement c4AF or C3A
@booksourexistence21536 жыл бұрын
There r two compounds which r act first... Tricalciumaluminate and tricalcium silicate.... Tricalcium alumina te reacts with water and produces enormous heat only.... but tricalcium silicate reacts with water and produce early strength..... Thanks

thanks for ur reply.Then when will tetracalcium aluminate ferrite reacts???
@sanketvikramsinhshinde53566 жыл бұрын
@@demudukolli4854 C3A REACT FIRST
@hsahrawat6 жыл бұрын
Ferrite reaction also starts quickly as water is added, but then slows down, probably because a layer of iron hydroxide gel forms, coating the ferrite and acting as a barrier, preventing further reaction.

C3A....Due to its high affinity towards water..it also has high heat of hydration

The composition of a cement brand of O.P.C. is given below : C3S=55%, C2S=18%, C3A=11%, C4AF=7%. If the Sio2 content of the raw material is 20% and So3 contents is 2%, find the content of the Cao in the raw material. please give the solution of this math.
