As someone who's watched osu, and good osu (friends who i watch play are in the 2k-5k mark), it's hard to tell how difficult maps are and how impressive certain plays were. Speed is the only thing that is intuitive while patterns/jumps/streams etc all much together. It wasn't until I started playing that I understood just how good these players are (and streamers and pros more so)

When I show them something like this over something like a hard 10* jump map, the reactions are totally different. Of course, I can’t speak for everyone, that’s my experience. @@alick1572 my take on this opinion, when you are watching someone who is the top of top in a game. There is no way you can critique, or talk about something you don't understand. In this case he doesn't know much(well I'm guessing), so he can't really make any comments based on anything. I guess he could say wow! He's clicking the circles, wow! Honestly i think you need at least a basic understanding of how hard this actually is to be able to react accordingly, someone who’s never played might think this isn’t that hard, then they try it and die 3 seconds in, even as someone who can quite comfortably FC 5 stars and pass 6 stars this is impossible for me, someone who’s never played wouldn’t even pass a 4 star I know how impossible this is, as do many others, comparatively to people who don’t play or haven’t played who think this isn’t that hard/are more impressed by jump maps 🤷
