IIUM Room Tour ( Mahallah Sumayyah's Gombak Edition)

Hi guys!
This is basically an insight of how my Mahallah (dorm) look like. We share one room with four compartment which mean there are four people in a room. However, i will only focusing on my own compartment.
Disclaimer!!
IIUM have different type of room depending on the Mahallah. Its almost similar but different in terms of design or size of compartment.
To those who will enroll to the garden of knowledge and virtue, hope this video will help you.

Waalaikumussalam. Setiap comparment ada study board, boleh tengok dekat minute 4.55 dalam video. Board warna biru tu memang disediakan. Yes, every comparment ada tingkap sendiri.

Adik.. which block is this.. because I once studied in UIAM too.. and I stayed at mahallah sumayyah too.. at Blok E.. and mour compartments theme colour was purple pink.. and during. My time which was like 22 years ago.. the badminton and netball court s were not around yet.. I am like your super duper Kakaksenior 😂🤣

Hi kakak senior. Wow, so long time ago ya 😂This one is Blok C. So Blok C,D and G ni dekat dengan the badminton and netball court which is also dekat dengan cafe and the gate. A lot of students prefer this three blocks bila prereg mahallah. Block E ni macam dah ke belakang sikit la 😄

Hi! Yes, betul. Nanti masa taaruf week (minggu orientasi) akan ada exam tilawah al-Quran. Basically surah-surah hafazan sahaja. Kalau awak bukan dari asasi UIA, awak kene ambil exam English dengan Arabic juga. Certain course kene lepas certain level of English and Arabic.

Hi sis! Uni akan assign your Mahallah based on your course. If you studying in Aikol, your Mahallah will be Mahallah Sumayyah (based on my past experienced ). Dulu I studied in Aikol too, and I stayed at Mahallah Sumayyah. Btw, wish you all the best for your law school! 🤗

Single room ada but for post-graduate student, tak pasti kalau ada untuk undergrad. Kalau tak silap ada executive room and studio room juga. I'm not so sure about this. Boleh try research dekat google or try tengok iium punya portal.

Hi! Jawapannya boleh je nak mohon UIA. UIA terbuka untuk semua orang. In fact, ada je kawan saya dari UITM , UKM, yg mohon UIA untuk sambung degree dan mereka dapat. Try la mohon. 😊

Hi. Kedai serbaneka dalam UIA pun ada. Ada kat tengah2, area masjid. Even every mahallah ada kedai serbaneka sendiri tak perlu susah2 keluar.

Hi! First year first sem nnti boleh pilih bilik dengn kawan2 sama batch. Cuma kene datang awal masa prereg mahallah. Kalau lambat, dia bagi pilihan bilik mana yg ada je la, maybe kene duduk dengan senior. Tapi tak tau la kalau sekarang ni ada perubahan ke tak.

Hi Nisha. Glad to hear that you're looking forward to study in IIUM. Being a students here is totally wonderful because you get to meet many people from all over the world with a different cultures and even some of them are from different religions (non muslims). If you're looking for Islamic university, then IIUM is a very good option. I can't say much, or else it's going to be an essay 😂 But ya, so far I love studying here because of it's environment. Calm and peace, very suitable for study. The mahallah(hostel/dorm) is good, they also sell varieties of food from different countries, facilities are quite good too, I can say everything is complete here. 👍

@@nishamaharoof6300 Ya, it is allowed. Being a student, phone and laptop are very important for communications, assignments, works and so on. Sometimes, the lecturers will give you an online quiz, so you need laptop for that. It is okay to bring those devices to the class. Wifi are available all over the places in IIUM, don't worry. But some places have a strong connection, the other places have a weak signal, it depends. Basically, you just have to find the right spot to connect with wifi.

Hi! Alhamdulillah very good. I have a few friends majoring in other Islamic studies, not sure about quran and sunnah. But anyways, they're under the same kuliyyah (Islamic Revealed Knowledge and Human Science). Don't be afraid, there's a lot of foreigners study there 🤗 Even some of the lecturers are foreigners. You won't be alone, believe me 🌹

It is true that some of the student will put their make up things on the shelf, but as you can see, mine penuh dengan buku-buku dekat atas tu. So I decide to arrange it on the table.
