He was a great actor. But he got this much big love from south india people not only due to his acting, but also his real life character, honesty. You know, even after he reached peak of famous as an actor in south india and also super rich, you can found him as siting in front of local tea shop or his auto rickshaw stand(he was a driver in his teenage) in his 'chalakudy'.He remembered his birthplace 'chalakudy' in his every public stage. He also stolen our hearts by his own folk songs.

He made appearances in Tamil Telugu and Kannada industries too. He acted as a villain in Gemini, a Tamil movie of Vikram. When directed wanted an unusual villain, Vikram suggested him and he used his masterpiece mimic abilities to portray the villain which was his own suggestion. This was a milestone for the Tamil cinema industry, where the industry saw an unusual villain breaking the stereotypes of cliche villains in Tamil. The movie he got the national award for was "Vasanthiyum Lakshmiyum Pinne Njanum". The movie he acted with Fahad was AAMEN, the movie which led to the beginning of the LJP era. The mystery behind his death was, even though the poisons made his death can be possibly present in the locally distilled alcohols he had, his friends had cleared all the wastes he vomited in the guesthouse with floor cleaners as soon as he was hospitalized instead of being with him in the hospital and also he was a severe patient of drinking problems and last stage liver sclerosis; and why friends allowed him to drink alcohol remains suspicious.
