Today we "ask" AND answer all of your Frequently Asked Questions about the iK Sprayer Lineup!
Since we began carrying iK Sprayers we've been fielding a TON of questions on what they are and how they work. With the growing popularity of the iK Foam and Multi Sprayers, we decided that a FAQ video was in order!
Anthony steps in front of the Camera and answers many of the questions that potential buyers and owners of the sprayers have had! For example, which of the sprayers can Foam an entire car? Or how many pumps does it take to full pressurize the sprayer?
These Sprayers have filled a much needed gap in the detailing industry for people that LOVE foam cannons, but can't (or don't want to) use a pressure washer. The iK Foam Sprayers can produce 3 different types of foam, (Standard, Dry, and Wet). The Multi Sprayer does NOT produce foam, but can be used for light pressure rinsing or even pre-soaking with your favorite rinselss wash. These are fantastic tools but there can still be situations where higher pressure water may be needed. Just remember, they are hand pump sprayers and are limited by the laws of physics *winky face*

I have just used my IK9 for the first time and initially I thought it was defective because the product was just barely splattering out then found out you really have to put a LOT of pressure in before you get that nice constant foam spray, unlike regular pump sprayers. I am using mine for my wheels with Adam's Wheel Cleaner which doesn't foam at all when using a regular sprayer but with the IK9 its a nice thick foam which means dwell time is much longer and that makes the product way more effective, now I love my IK9...

I just want to say the iK Sprayers are amazing for rinseless washing. My fingers and forearms no longer hurt from using trigger sprayers for the pre-rinse, just pump and spray!

What is the difference between the 9 and 12? Besides price? Does the 9 do an efficient job or is the 12 a better purchase?

The 12 is essentially the model that replaced the 9. It's got more capacity, improved construction of the body and sprayer mechanisms and features a schrader valve for directly tapping into it with compressed air. Something the 9 never had.

The iK sprayer used to do the length of the car. That sprayer should give I'm assuming 4 to 6 washes total. Would I dump the excess solution after every wash or store it for additional washes later until the month arrives? This would be for my vehicle washes to cut down on spending at the hand washers.

I was quite disappointed with the IK9. The foam production was too slow! I could spray quarter of the car at a time, and by the time I finished the next section, the previous was dry. Tried several different soaps and mixes, it just wasn't nearly enough. Ended up shelling out for a pressure washer and MTM foam cannon. It's the way to go.

Hi, I have a question. I recently just got the iK Foam Pro 2 I'm planning to use it for a wheel cleaner but I also want to use it for snow foam during winter. I'm wondering if I am able to use the same sprayer for both by rinsing in between. It would be great if you can respond, thanks.

You are definitely missing a sprayer from the lineup! iK 9 *without* foam would be really nice for ONR presprays!?

Sherukka you can get a few extra parts to make the nine into a sprayer only. May have to contact IK North America or The Rag Company for that, though. I have had all three for the last year-and-a-half and really enjoy using them. I have a hatchback so I can take care of it all with one with a 1.5 for a maintenance wash. But I bring out the 9 for a full wash.

And actually, you can simply remove the small piece that creates the foam from within the lance and use it as a sprayer flat-fan nozzle. If you want something more like the 1.5 sprayer nozzle, then that would require a few pieces to change out.

Question: I want to use my power washer. Is there some advantage of these manual pump devices?

Would not having the P&S brake buster diluted enough cause a problem with not getting a wide spray pattern? I just got the IK 2 and bulk brake buster and at fist could only get a stream of foam, not a wide spray. I switched to the orange tip and diluted it some more. That helped a bit but still not very wide spray. *Edit* watched the rest of the video which mentioned dilution ratios. I’ll try that.

Thanks for the video. For some reason I could never get the pressure safety valve on the 1.5 foam to release pressure when I pull up on it as shown in the video. Is my former defective?

I looked into the specs for both sized sprayers and found the pressure release is 20-25psi for 1.5 model and 40-50psi for the 9 model.

Just got my foamer, but it didn't release pressure even after being pumped 40-50x. Is this normal? My sprayer releases pressure though after between 15-20 pumps.... so I'm kinda lost.

Can I leave product mixed with water in the foamer 2? I have released the pressure. I have left over product in the bottle. Extra I didn’t use.

can I Leave Left Over Product Car Shampoo In My IK Foamer Pro 12 Will My Product Be Damage If I Leave Over Night Pre-diluted For A Car Wash The Next Day. I Have A Foamer And A Multi Sprayer With Only Water And ONR As A Portable Pressure Washer After Every Use I Always Release The Pressure. At 4:25 Minutes into the video He mentions the Dilution . Multi Cleaner is 5 parts to 1 part Multi Cleaner. Car wash Soap or any Thick Type of Soap to is 1 oz Soap to 34 ounces of water. All you have to do is figure out the Ounces of water in the large sprayer. For Example a 2 gallon container = to 256 ounces Divide 256 by 35= 7.5 ounces. which is 7 1/2 ounces of soap to 2 gallons of water. If you use only 1 gallon of water then it would be 128 ounces divided by 34 and that would equal to 3.7 ounces of soap to a Gallon of water. Just round it off to 3 1/2 ounces or 4 ounces of Soap per 1 gallon of water. Hope that helps :o)

34:1 - So if you go to the fill line of 5L (169 oz) thats 169/34=4.97oz of car soap. So 5 Oz.

1.5 foamer I think is broken . I ad my degreaser and I pump it and nothing happened I press the trigger nothing happened . It it normal I just use it on weekend
