iKamper Skycamp - Annex Room Installation

The Annex Room adds more living space, so you can really spread out. Follow these steps to install yours.

📣Make a waterproof floor that zip to the annex to keep out rain and critters‼️

Add a thick waterproof floor. Either lengthen the bottom of the annex so it can fold under a floor by 18"-24", like the cabin sytle tents have, or a zip in floor. Heavy duty so heavy, dirty boots won't tear it. Need to keep water, bugs, snakes, mud out. Might even put a fireproof stove jack in it for a wood stove, or some other set up for a Kerosene heater. We camp in cool to cold weather during deer season 8n Oklahoma. Summers in this state are too hot and humid to camp in.

@iKamper ...You should seriously consider adding a waterproof polyester floor to the annex room. What if it rains and someone is sleeping in annex? That person will unfortunately wake up in a mud bath as water seeps beneath the bottom edge of the annex walls.

And plan to have someone sleep down there? You’re gonna set them up with an awesome ergonomic sleeping setup! In the words of the now famous Ed Bassmaster: “Psh”... 😆

Gonna add my vote to the people asking for a floor, my biggest concern is bugs; if you have any kind of light in your annex, bugs will come in from underneath and then they'll essentially be trapped inside. Mosquitos can definitely ruin your night.

For $600 it doesnt even come with a annex floor.. I'll stick to my ruggedized Tepui Autana that comes with the annex and floor at no additional cost.

I just stumbled upon these the other day. Lots of research says this is the one to get. If I do, I think I will be getting it coated with Line X ultra. I know they have an optional “rocky” coat, but I think the Line X will be more durable.

Rocky Flat is the Line X / Rhino coated one. Definitely recommend it

do a Bundutec style 360 awning, but with a big hole in it like the JB for the ladder and a fabric piece that zips to the top to complete it. Then have optional zip on walls. done. send me the first sample please :|
