Hi Zach! Have been following you on IG since you first posted abt the Ikawa. Didn’t know you made a video abt it till now - augh. Thanks for doing that. I wonder how big the SG community of Ikawa users is…? I’ve had mine for abt as long as you have and I’ve been roasting not just the Ikawa-sourced beans but also China varietals bought thru Foreward Coffee (they sell green beans too). The China beans from Yunnan are really nice. Give them a try. My current fave is the Ou Yang natural, which has blackberry notes after a week of resting (both aroma and taste). Let me know if you try the China beans! 👍🏼😄

Great video! How was the quality, this review is now 5 months old, how do you feel since now? How’s the quality vs professional local roasters?

100g is pretty small amt tbh. And very expensive for that capacity and having to pay for subscription. There are other options on the market that are cheaper, larger capacity with free software.

I'm surprised that you review the overall taste of your roast a day after roasting. Most coffees are left to sit for 5~7days after roasting afaik. Anyhow, still enjoying the machine?

Nice to have. For paying such a premium, they should have gave the editor instead of charging a high amount for the editor.

Thanks. Do note that Zach paid for his own unit for this review. It was not sponsored in any way, and the Graph Editor is a standard subscription for all. We just hoped that there was a trial period for it. 👍

Thank you for the review and walk through, I’ve really enjoyed this video! Where there other rosters you where considering? I’m thinking of going into home roasting and I’m currently leaning towards the nucleus link. But the Ikawa is so much prettier 🙈
