Always a lady, I cried at the news of her dying, but knew this beautiful bird was free at last to fly to Heaven and join her loved ones. He was a cruel human and hurt her every way possible. The Ike & Turner Review was the very first concert I ever attended, in Germany, 1975. He stood there strumming and singing in that deep voice, while she lit the stage in that swishy dress and with her amazing energy. Tina made Tina, she was always Anna Mae Bullock in her heart, and knew Anna Mae deserved simply the best. I love her music, the playlist in my iPhone impressively spans her career! Rest in peace and power Tina! There are no tears in Heaven~🙏

Ike criticized Tina,for not having any black people in her inner circle or entourage.Hell Ike married a white woman,so that's hypocritical.I understand Tina catering to the whites,because that's who showered her with love,acceptance,and bought her records.Ike was a great musician though,at the very least he should be apologetic.

It's not her fault he beat her. It doesn't matter if he was mental, had anxiety or anything. And I wonder how she did it. Taking all the abuse. I have a lot of respect for her and may God bless her.

It was because back then it was hard for woman to be able to support themselves. The musicians and all them that she worked with were his musicians and he probably made her think she couldn't make it without him. Plus having 4 kids and 2 that weren't hers, she probably didn't want to leave them with him and if she took them with her she had to worry about supporting them along with herself. Im sure the movie is not that off of the real story
@jackwalters40493 жыл бұрын
@@twila.17 Which she said she knew he did to all of his women! And who said BEAT??? SHE NEVER DID! Physical abuse is horrible, but there is an extreme difference in a hit and beating someone up. Tina Turner was not a racist: she was very proud of being a black woman. She was proud of where she came from & her success. Ike was just bitter & mentally ill. So sad such a talented man had such a violent temper & bitterness in his heart. He took everything from her money, cars, houses, music rights. He wanted to even take her name from her: but she put her foot down & said "at least let me keep my name: I earned & worked too hard for it." Tina is so gracious, grateful, forgiving, warm & kind. I probably would have put a bullet in Ike's head: if he abused me like that. Tina is a better woman than I would have been.❤❤❤❤
