When you mentioned that you've never combined watercolor and crayons before, I had to think of an art project we did in elementary school. We were drawing a bunch of fishes with crayons on a peace of paper and then went straight over it with watercolor. The parts with crayon wouldn't be coloured and that made a somehow really cool effect idk. Maybe you could try something similar? Loved the video!

One of the Swedes has Å in her name and thankfully everyone says it correctly, they just don't bother when they're talking about Måla or Blåhuva or Blåbärsmott or whatever, because in Australia å, ä, ö, ü are basically just decorations unless you've learned a language that includes them

@relaxium36183 жыл бұрын
This art is magical! You inspire me a lot with your worms, because I'm making a book about ghosts, who also like to break frames. Please, draw all the worms in the world if you need to. Btw, watercolor pencils are anything, but extra, if used in appropriate situations. It's a great way to expand your colour pallet as a beginner, because, where I live, good watercolor pencils are way, way more affordable, than good watercolor set of the same or much smaller size. Also, when you need to use children's grade watercolor, watercolor pencils look great on top of flat wash of those (once dried). It's more effective, than trying to layer cheap watercolor on it's own. And they kind of look more cohesive in mix media watercolor pieces, compared to regular pencils. They are also softer and can look almost like crayons if you need them to, but without that waxiness. All in all, IMHO, you are too focused on putting them down in pencil form and then dissolving it into watercolour. That's why it seems so excessive. But I have a feeling, that with particular uses you may come to enjoy them more, if you feel the need to use this material again.
