but what if my chairs do not come with premade holes for the seated area? i have tried with a manual and an electric screw driver to screw the nails in to no avail. please help!

There is no hole for the screw at seated area, if you want to screw, make sure to press a little hard when inserting the screw..that can be work 👍

Why the heck do you need a power drill??? Ikea just messed up and forgot to put holes in the seat, right??
