Yes. Warning the darker shade of slat goes into the darker shade of the slat holder. Super frustrating that one shade of the slats match one shade of the slat holder. Which is wrong. Super bad color selection,

What bothered me most is, the little wrench fell out of my hand maybe 20 times. It landed near the heat vent twice, which elicited a nightmare wave to reach me both times. Me & that wrench are not friends….

The side panel of my slats doesn’t have the pre drilled holes in so I don’t understand how I am supposed to attach it to the bed frame? Please help

The slats are free floating on the bed frame. They dont have to be drilled into the bed. The mattress weight and the snug fit will keep it in place and prevent it from falling or going off the trails. Its normal

I’ve had these for a few years. The rubber slat holders eventually compress causing sagging in higher weight zones. This lets the mattress sag. I do not recommend.

Great video, definitely helped me understand that this was not going to be a walk in the park. This was the longest part of our bed assembly. I would respectfully disagree on your earlier comment regarding total time to put the Lonset together.

This guy didnt mention the most important part about assembling this, though. Don't screw the screws all the way in at the beginning. You will have to use hulk strength to squeeze the slats in between. Leave the screws partially unscrewed to allow more room, and then tighten at the end. It will save you 45 minutes

These slats add at least 2 inches of height, so if you are using Malm frame better to use the lower height setting. Even in lower setting combined with 28" mattress it is high (I'm 6 foot)

Omg, YES! And it's cheaper, easy to move and the under bed storage option is amazing. And it's very comfy. I am never going back to box spring again.

@@d.almeida3633 Personally I love extra firm mattress and while I do have the other slats too, on this 2nd bed I opted to go with these Lonset Slatted and they do make a big difference. I have been using this bed for about a year, and till the time you do flip the top mattress every 6 months, it feels like brand new.

They have quality control issues with these I had one half of the bed with grey slats too long wasn't able to screw the frame completely together. The other half assembled easily.

Hi thank for asking this. No, all holes are pre-drilled. I just had to fit the cap and screw it. It really is super easy to install and you can do it just with basic tools. I do feel that if the rubber supports are going, you have had the bed for a while and the wooden supports have started to go to, you can pick it up either from Ikea, or order via amazon ( free shipping) amzn.to/32a2LXm or Ikea www.ikea.com/us/en/p/loenset-slatted-bed-base-80278715/ hope this helps.

If you watch other ikea bed videos on KZbin you’ll see they have rubber stops. That fit into predrulled holes on the ikea bed frame.

you can just pick up new slats, 2nd option, go to home depot and get plywood. They can cut to fit the bed.

@@dianaoliveira6504 I think it might be due to the spacing between the two slate, you can try to put a screw on top and one on bottom to fuse the two so they stop moving.

Once it was completed, did the mattress sit higher than the side edge of the bed frame? Someone said they had to lower the rails to the lower holes so the mattress fits inside and not above. How was yours?

It has holes that it allows you to adjust the hight of the mattress, me personally, i kept it higher so it sites up a bit

great question, actually yes you can use it on any bed frame, just measure the bed frame before putting it. But as its ikea, if it doesn't fit, you can always return it to the store.

I think its about 10 inch or so tall and yes the luroy slatted base will work, basically you get the bed and then you buy the base.

You could also just drop the box spring and mattress inside the frame and use it without slats. Depending how thick each piece is, it should be tall enough to comfortably enter and exit.

As compared to before, Ikea has really stepped up its game. And its been almost a year and no issues with it. Still feels like its brand new. Only thing required is to flip the mattress every month.

God damn whoever invented these slats! The slope of the slats is reflected to the bed and it is never a flat bed. I bought two Lönset mattresses, both of them are problematic. Some places are high, some are low. I wake up in the morning in pain. I'm considering removing the slats and replacing them with a flat sheet of chipboard. So it will be like a classic box-spring mattress. Do you have such a complaint?

Use a sheet of 1/2 to 3/4 inch plywood. Much more support than chipboard.

with just the basic tools i have it took about 20-25 minutes to get it done. Attaching the screws took for ever cause i wasn't using a power tool.

nope, but its very VERY well build, when family comes over, 4 to 5 people can sit on it without issues. I know some of the older ikea beds had weight issues, this one has no problem at all.
