Yes you can just take the shelf out when lifting the frame up

I assembled an ikea vikedal cupboard which has a mirrored door but the wardrobe is fully tilting sideways when you open and close the doors..please can you advice what i may have done wrong

I secured my Pax wardrobes with a 4x2 drilled and plugged into my brick wall. It even warns you on page 1 to create a secure fixing into whatever wall make up you have. If you dont secure it, then you will risk it moving on even falling forward when opening doors and it even worse with the 236cm tallest wardrobes.and of course with heavy mirror doors ........

It is difficult to assemble with panels vertical, maybe better to lay the verticals on the floor assemble top and bottom, and then tilt the wardrobe vertical

If you don't have the ceiling height to tip up you need to assemble it upright

He has another video where he assembles on the floor. This is for the situation where the size of the frame is very close to the ceiling, so there is not enough room to swing the frame up because it will hit the ceiling when on the diagonal.
